After being denied the opportunity in her own country, she became the first woman in France to earn a doctorate degree in 1904.

Who was Marie Currie?

I got it right! And in my brain, I only had one 'R' (correctly!)

All three contestants got it right, but the leader didn't bet enough, so the woman in second place going into Final Jeopardy won.

Good luck. I took a paper test about 6 years ago. 50 questions, not multiple choice. To get to the next stage, you had to get 45 right. Even at that point, they put you on camera to see how you do, then if you get past that, they put you on a list where they can call you to be on the show at any point in the next 12 months with no guarantees of actually appearing.

So good luck!

Who was John D. Rockafeller?

All three contestants messed up. The lady in third place got the question wrong, but would have won if she had bet nothing. The woman in second place knew the answer, but spelled his name wrong (you can spell a name wrong so long as what you write would be pronounced the same way as the correct answer). The leader wrote the correct answer, but crossed it out and wrote something else. He won anyway, but got very little money.

What did she spell? Rockafella?

Btw, I got it.

I think she spelled it Rockerfeller.

Me too, this is about my fourth try to get on the damn show. I made it past the preliminary test each time but probably presented like an a-hole on camera, so I never got called.

I haven't heard how I did on Tuesday's test yet.

I mean I'm in the test in 9 minutes. There's no motherloving way I'll pass the thing; if the categories weren't Baseball, Math, Beer, 80's Movies, and Online Porn, with a Video Daily Double of Angelina Jolie body parts, I'd be dorked, anyway.
