Standing in line at a viewing last night, I realized "Seinfeld" and "Sex and the City" are basically the same show.

JERRY: I mean, what is the deal in the viewing line? Are you allowed to tell jokes? Can you even smile?

CARRIE: Standing there amongst all the black-dressed mourners, I couldn't help but wonder- what is the proper etiquette for a viewing line?

"the race" is still my favorite. reconfirmed after seeing it last night. the whole george and jerry pretending not to have seen each other in 20 years is classic.

Sorry Reading Philly, but wrong answer.

The race was great except for one incredible misstep that ultimately makes it awful. What was George and Jerry's exit strategy with regards to Lois after meeting in the diner? At some point she'd have figured out that George did know Jerry and that George wasn't a millionaire architect. I mean if they had only met Duncan in there without Lois present, I could have accepted it, but no, sorry, bad planning from a great liar like George.

JERRY: You get in the bubble with him?

MEL: No. He can see through the bubble. It's plastic.

JERRY: Oh, I thought it was like an igloo.

MEL: No, it's clear.

JERRY: Ah ha.

ELAINE: Who has the remote?

MEL: He does.

ELAINE: The remote goes through the bubble?

MEL: Yeah, he's in the bubble with the remote.

JERRY: So you have no control over the remote?

MEL: No, it's frustrating.

Love Peterman. My all-time favorite Peterman moment:

[Setting: Peterman's office]

ELAINE: Oh, what didn't you like about the first chapter?

PETERMAN: Well, it started out nicely: "I'm returning some pants." A very identifiable problem.. (turns page) "I set of down a train tunnel.".. (turns page) But that's where the story takes a most unappealing turn.

ELAINE: Oh, no, no! That's where it gets interesting! Don't you see? The - the train is bearing down on you, you - you dive into a side tunnel - and you run into a whole band of underground tunnel dwellers!

PETERMAN: It just seems so cliched, and obvious. It's not interesting writing.

ELAINE: Yeah.. yeah. I know. Um.. how about if, instead of.. diving from the train, you.. uh, you, I don't know, you slip and, and fall in some mud, and.. ruin your pants?

PETERMAN: (Intrigued) The very pants I was returning. That's perfect irony! Elaine, that is interesting writing! (The intercom beeps)

SECRETARY: I have a Cosmo Kramer on line 4.

PETERMAN: (Picks up the phone) Peterman, here.

KRAMER: Mister Peterson, you gotta sell me my stories back!

PETERMAN: You want to know something? I no longer need them!

ELAINE: No, no. Mister Peterman, why don't we keep them - as a, as a reference?

PETERMAN: Nonsense! (To Kramer) I have Benes' woderfully imaginative mind to spin my stories. You take back your tales, you vagabond!

KRAMER: Yippie-yi-yay!

PETERMAN: (Hangs up) There you are, Elaine. Go forth, and create. (Elaine gets up to leave) And, by the way, when you get to that chapter about my romantic escapades - feel free to toss yourself in the mix.

(Scene ends)

I heard the new season of Curb is going to revolve around some sort of Seinfeld reunion as if they were making new episodes. Is that true? Sounds awesome

The seventh season of David's improvised HBO comedy, which returns on Sept. 20, will be centered around the TV version of David finally agreeing to do a reunion of the defining '90s sitcom. All four "Seinfeld" castmembers -- Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Michael Richards -- will play themselves in multiple episodes, and the season finale will feature extensive snippets of the show-within-the-show.

Wow. I dropped HBO after the Soprano's finale. this may make me have to get it back (but its $15 price tag still is a bit much for the little I watch TV). Or else I gotta find a friend with a tivo and a dvd burner....

oddly enough, i've been watching seinfeld after work/during dinner the last few weeks. they've had some of my favorite episodes on during that time (puffy shirt, face painter/kramer & the monkey/george says i love you to zoo lady, teri hatcher, rochele rochele, etc.). lucky me.

The Seinfeld crew is on the cover of this week's Entertainment Weekly.

I searched Center City looking for this edition yesterday to no avail. Today I found it at the Borders located in the Shops at Liberty Place.

Looks pretty good as they have remade the sets from the series.

I recently got HBO when I moved so I am prepared for the 9/20 debut of Curb!

Yeah, with Weeds over, I'm cancelling SHowtime and though I hate Larry David I'm curious about the Seinfeld tie-in and will get HBO and watch the final season of Curb just for the hey of it... this could be Michael Richards last chance in the limelight given his fall ... hard to believe that show went off the air over 10 years ago ...

The Boyfriend (Part 1) might be my favorite episode of all time, after seeing it again last night.
