They don't seem to come to Los Angeles that often. Or maybe I missed them. Their venue songs for Los Angeles (Hard Rock in Hollywood and Anaheim) were two of the best and two that best revealed their contempt for the venues/cities.

The Anaheim house of blues song makes me laugh just thinking about it.

Oh, I don't want to stay in tonight and watch Death Wish Three
Fall asleep with pizza crumbs on my clothes
So put away that hash pipe, the pornography and the booze
'Cause tonight we're going to the Anaheim House of Blues!

Don't do anything crazy,
Like defecate in your pants because you're lazy...

So, put away that crack pipe, put some makeup on that bruise,
'Cause tonight we're going to the Anaheim House of Blues!

Oh, take me down to the Anaheim House of Blues!

Yes, drag me by my hair to the Anaheim House of (instrumental)

(spoken) Goodnight, Mrs. Hitler.
The Phillies: People trading People to People.

My good facebook friends TMBG sent me this list compiled by Marty Beller of "things we are not allowed to say within the band".

game changer
crackberry
phone tag
that's how we roll
I can't work under these conditions
playing the (whatever) card
throw under the bus
drinking the kool-aid
LOL
phone tag
don't go there
it's all good
it is what it is
talk to the hand
think outside the box
off the reservation
oh no you didn't
one hundred and ten percent
IMHO
no worries*
It's all good
jumped the shark
voted off the island
(anything) on acid
(anything) from hell

...of course the list itself is now on the list.

So I'm with my son at the Franklin Institute yesterday and we're drawn to an exhibit with a film about the bloodstream featuring music by TMBG. Then we hop in the car and LeShow comes on playing "Museum of Idiots". They Might Be Giants have truly saturated our culture.

Plus, the film that gave the band it's name is now on Retroplex.

Ha- yeah. I hadn't seen him in a few years, so the facial hair was sure confusing. I don't think I have ever been as nervous meeting someone. So many years of entertainment from those guys.
