"Everyday" star sightings

Postby EndlessSummer » Tue Jan 09, 2007 18:56:06

This thread made me realize that I must be bad luck for celebs. Growing up, the three biggest celebs I had encounters with were Joe Piscapo, Lyle Alzado and Tug McGraw. To the best of my knowledge, all three are dead now.

Coincidentally, I walked by Dave Montgomery on the street the other day.

No, that was not it.

I'm sad that I am not the only one who thought of if (not that it was some great feat of originality).

but you did think of it independently - and that's really what matters, for me it was just a cop out cause i could never remember his last name (which, ironically, i know do remember)

Vox would it make you feel better if i said signs was better than the village?

Yes it was independent. I even made my wife laugh the first time I said it. And it was also because I could not remember his whole name.

I went through security at Washington National airport right behind John Kerry. He took off his belt and shoes (one foot at a time just like the rest of us). This was four or five months after he lost the election. He carried his own bags.

I still think he's an evil alien doppleganger who stole my life.

Aproximately the same age, parents in the same profession (obstetrics) and grew up 'down the street' from me. (Wynnewood is next to merion basically)

I want him taken to area 51 and dissected

I went to see the premiere of Miller's Crossing (one of my all time faves) at the circle theater in DC. I scored tickets from my film professor who couldnt make it. The seats in front of me had Jon Polito and Marcia Gay Harden. The seats behind me had Steve Buscemi and Marion Barry (before the crack scandal).

So you don't have an opinion about dissecting John Kerry?

No -= that was meant for the director who i'm told made a movie about his hatred of movie critics

I hear he wrote a book about his hatred of Disney executives. The director, not John Kerry.

Next time you see him, call him sebastian.

And yes, I've heard of the shyamalan book - did it get released? I was curios.

I used to work at a cell phone as a technician and Freddie Mitchell was a regular there. He would come to get his phone worked on and hang in the back of the store with us. Needless to say, we took every opportunity to look through his phone's pics and videos. Good times had by all.

At the same store, I had the unfortunate experience of letting Jermaine Mayberry know his wife's phone was out of warranty. And I met Thomas Tapeh shortly after his ugly hip injury. Nice guy.

Also, I keep running into Colin Quinn. Once in New York, then again at 30th St. Station, and just recently in New York again. Weird.

Yeah the book is out: The Man Who Heard Voices: Or, How M. Night Shyamalan Risked His Career on a Fairy Tale.

I guess he didn't write it.

I saw and talked to Tim Robbins at a Pearl Jam concert.

I met Clive Davis at a Lesley Gore performance
Fine. You wanna act like you're two? I'll act like I'm one.

If you go by film premieres, I was within feet of tons of celebrities at the 2000 Toronto Int'l Film fest. Richard Gere, Robert Altman, Farrah Fawcett, Gillian Anderson... bunches of others that I'm not remembering. Ang Lee (we were the first audience to be given the privilege of providing a standing O for Crouching Tiger, where it premiered - the only standing O of the entire film fest).

Gary Oldman was sitting behind us in the "cheap seats" for one movie, I forget which. He was with his mom or a very old girlfriend.
