that's kind of silly to base that off of your own friends. given that there's more practicing Catholics, I'd imagine that far more switch to agnostic

well sure its silly to base a conclusion on ancedotal evidence. But when asked to identify themselves, I'd be willing to bet that %-wise more agnostic Catholics ID themselves as Catholic than agnostic jews ID themselves as Jewish.

I'm pretty sure "my Jewish buddies are agnostic" isn't considered anecdotal

Yes, study the Torah, stop eating shellfish and pork and cut a small part of your penis off.

I already have the guilt and enjoy some kosher food. Can I be half-jewish?

i'm the Jew, but what TRT said about jewish vs. agnostic sort of applies to me too.

Mark me down as culturally Jewish but religiously agnostic. Not sure what to vote for though. I still consider myself Jewish, I'm just bad at it.

Kosher food... no hot dog is better than a kosher beef frank. Fantastic... makes me hungry just thinking about it. My wife's from the Pacific Northwest and has always been a big fan of Tillamook Cheese out of Oregon (which just recently became available in the Philadelphia area, at least at Acme.) We've been there a couple of times, and she always gets a huge kick out of seeing the factory rabbi work the kosher cheddar line. Might be the best cheddar they make, too.

Sorry for the tangent. But when all you've been able to have for dinner while on the go is a rather nasty TV dinner... well, you get kinda hungry for something of actual nutritional value.

It's becoming clear to me that all religious conflict is an epic battle for the title 'most guilt-ridden'. I've had bammer scots presbyterians sneer at me that they're far more guilt-ridden than the catholics since they don't have confession to make all the bad feelings go away. it's like guilt one-upmanship between them, the catholics and the jews.

although agnostic, I did get brung up as a honest-to-god-taig. However I'm willing to bet I'm one of the few whose da also used to be a priest.

I've got Jew blood, I'm a Jew and I'll carry on some Jewish traditions. But I don't believe in God.
