It was just literally made up and got thousands of retweets. The one that went the most viral had a picture of him in a radio studio, so it was implying it was a live quote from him, which it wasn't.

Thanks, I thought I remember seeing that he denied it to Jake Tapper but didn't feel like going through old tweets. Also, I trust Daniel Dale on fact checking.. so again, it's "plausible" especially if you want to believe it, but there's no evidence it actually occurred.
Quick Google shows that GoGo is wrong with regards to the Kiwi and the Banana.

Thank you all for correcting the record. Other than following here, I have been mostly offline most of the last three days so this morning was the first time I had even heard it mentioned. Though it certainly would not have surprised me, I am glad that our former governor did not go there.

Host: Are you tested? I heard you, I heard you said you were gonna test again today. Have you been retested?
Trump: Ah, I have been retested and I haven't even found out numbers or anything yet. But I've been retested and I know I'm at either the bottom of the scale or free.
Host: When is your next test gonna be?
Trump: I don't know; probably tomorrow, Mark. They test every couple of days, I guess. But, ah, its really at a level now that's been, ah, great. Great to see it disappear.

Doesn't have any "numbers" yet but knows that he is at the bottom of the scale or free. I'm not a doctor and I know nothing about the results of a COVID-19 test but does it result in a "scale" of coronavirus? Is he talking about some test for antibodies? And, of course, it just disappeared. Like a fart in the wind.

Yea, it does have a scale if they're using PCR tests. Depends on the test they're using, but CDC guidance is to cycle the swab 40 times.

Some machines can spit out at which cycle the swab came back positive. If it comes back 1-25, then you have a bad infection and are contagious. If its 35 or higher then you aren't contagious and don't have an infection any more. Just that they found dead virus in you.

Edit: your body can shed dead virus for 90 days after contracting the virus. So just looking at a positive test or not doesn't tell you much, but the amount it cycles does. That said, I doubt he has any clue what he's talking about.

I think that what this whole episode shows is that if you get treated early and with the best treatments available you should expect to survive a Covid infection regardless of pre-existing conditions

Tried to watch some of Eric Trump on This Week this morning. It did not go well. These people are straight delusional, I mean, for real delusional. They have created a Trump matrix where they see/believe whatever it is they want to see/believe. It really is incredible.

I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist but my little voice keeps nagging that maybe he never actually had it and it's just an election ploy.

My mom, a nurse with a doctorate in transcultural nursing, is adamant that he never had it. The fact that such a highly educated and compassionate person who spent her entire career in healthcare would believe that so many doctors would sell their soul for this man’s agenda is quite telling.

I certainly think he’s capable of lying about this, but it seems to have harmed his election chances. And I really don’t think all the people around him who are positive are faking.

He definitely had/has it. The antibody cocktails are supposed to be really really helpful. I wouldn't say he's out of the woods yet, though.

That said, he had less than a 3% chance of dying to begin with and was able to get treatment immediately.
