Well, it sounds like they have a prime suspect, so they must have some idea in their heads.

Having said that, were I the investigator, it sounds to me like the son or the father was the target, since the gunman left the instant both were felled, so I would begin there before going all illuminati.

He retired navy, they broke one of his knuckles during that beating. He was supposedly asking them about their service and the oath they took or something along those lines and they started wailing on him.

Really? Couldn't shooting her family be a form of intimidation? If they shot her, someone else would be on the case. Shoot her family and send a message seems MORE likely to be about her case. If the guy was mad at the father, then why shoot the son?

That said, I don't think we know anything at this point.

My neighbor asked me to watch his place and snag his paper. He gets the Washington Times and they do not let you pause service (he said). It is an educational thing to look at. Front page leads with 'death rate low, Fauci and alamrist' alone with the center story being that Eastern Oregon wants to joint Idaho.

The Oregon story is as old as the state. Portland is an island of liberals surrounded by a rather conservative state. There is another little bubble down in Eugene and Salem. The paper calls it out as being terrified by liberal mob rule from the city (its a long drive, they will be ready for the invasion). More like they wish Bend was not the land of second homes to Portlandfornians. Down at the bottom it mentions the death of John Lewis (there are not weekend editions of the Washington Times). All told, the Monday edition is 24 pages.

Kenney says "we will resist such an abuse of power" if Trump tries to send troops here. Krasner says he'll arrest anyone who unlawfully snatches citizens for kidnapping, and try them before a Philly jury.

Some reporter should stake out Enterprise (and other rental companies) to see if there is increased activity for SUVs.

Don't know if it's true but I saw something that one of the cars in Portland is a 2009 registered to a Seattle resident.

Mark Esper scanned the list of officers up for promotion until he found the one he was looking for: Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, the star witness in the impeachment inquiry who famously told Congress that President Donald Trump’s July 25 phone call with his Ukrainian counterpart undermined U.S. national security.

The Defense secretary knew that approving Vindman’s promotion could put him at odds with the White House, which had mounted a retaliation campaign to force the Army officer into retirement.

Esper signed the papers anyway.
