Statues of Limitations: Politics Thread

It’s fitting that Navarro was the guy who was like “sure, I’ll do that.”

Big sigh of relief in the room I’m sure from many others who didn’t raise their hands.
On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed is he?

Haha, so it appears that Trump is polling better than Tuberville in Alabama. That's kind of amusing.

As an incumbent, Jones is going to run ahead of Biden.

Breaking news that will shake up the presidential election.

Kanye reportedly dropping out!

Guess I'll have to hold my nose and vote for someone else now.

Sessions is awful though, so don't feel too bad about it. Ironic the one right thing he's done was what fucked him.

I think we should just let the south pull the secession shit again. Florida has tourism, for now. Texas has what's left of whatever oil, which is cheap as shit. The rest of the south has zero to offer anyone. Have at it. Take all of those states suck from the federal tit with you. Kentucky? Peace out.

Yahoo's article about Tuberville basically just goes over his football career. We're so fucked.

There is a man who is in touch with sensitivity in the mood of the moment.

I never understood the retort. Putting aside percentages, shouldn't we also look into these extra judicial killings by the police and see where we can prevent more?

Does Joe know what suburban white women want? I still cannot get over that this group went Trump because of who Trump publicly is.

Does a simple campaign that says 'Your vote is your own, and you vote is private' work? that kind of stinks of the 'silent majority' (thanks Nixon).

Are you saying white women follow the way their husbands vote? Bc that would be a problematic message for Biden to send

That’s just a bad message to assume and send. Why is the assumption that white women vote the way they do bc of their husband?

I think that's still true in places but it's not white suburban women.

Times have changed since my pappy used to try to sneak off to vote without my step-grammy so her republican vote didn't cancel his democrat vote.

Maybe run it back to get out the vote for a philanderer, pussy grabber, alleged rapist, pedophile perv who toured the dressing room of the JR Miss America, who paid off the women with whom he had affairs while actively working to tell you what to do with your body because all that is on record. He's your guy! Trump is the choice of the silent majority women because he's there for their interests.

Have to counter this 'God will' candidate stuff. Again, I cannot imagine why almost any women would find this appealing.

The Peter Navarro op-ed didn’t go through normal White House clearance processes and is the opinion of Peter alone.
@realDonaldTrump values the expertise of the medical professionals advising his Administration.

He values the expertise so much that he hasn't directly spoken to Dr. Fauci in six weeks.

Only took 13 hours to get this piece out there once they realized their strategy wasn’t well received.

@NBCNews
The NY Times reported Tuesday that the administration had ordered hospitals to bypass the CDC and send all COVID-19 patient info to a central database in Washington beginning Wednesday, raising concerns from health experts that it will be politicized or withheld from the public.

I just don't understand Trump's strategy here. Does he think suppressing COVID-19 reporting will somehow convince voters in November that it's over?

Many of his moves have made some level of strategic sense, especially in how he got elected. I just can't figure out how what he's doing about COVID-19 helps him get reelected.
