My feelings too.
Aurora PD acting like assholes at a protest for this kid's murder

Incredible. Literally, if I told people that police marched in with riot gear to break up a violin concert commemorating a victim of police brutality, they wouldn't believe it.
Right? I saw this earlier today and I just don't get it. It looks like a park with a fairly large gathering of people peacefully enjoying a violin performance and calling attention to a pretty heinous killing of an unarmed peaceful kid in their city, just because he was a little strange. I get that tensions are high, so I could see a patrol of regular police officers with a light perimeter but staying out of the area and then having these storm troopers waiting in the wings in case it goes sideways. Why this? No one was doing anything violent, no one was doing anything obscene, no one was obstructing movement or business or whatever, what purpose does it serve to send in storm troopers to break this up? This is the shit that foments the violence and riots. If they would just listen and make some changes it could all be avoided, but so many PDs in this country just can't admit when they're wrong.
The purpose is to make it seem normal.
