Yeah I don't see much data behind the fear really. Wolf's approval rating on coronavirus is so far outpacing Trump it's just not a chance that it's luck.pacino wrote:most of the people blaming Wolf were never voting for Biden and likely have never voted for a national-level Democrat in their lives

The shutdown from corona is going to precipitate a significant economic crisis.
Ordinarily, the incumbent is held responsible for such things.
However, in 2 of the 3 states Trump needs to win, Democratic governors are in control of the shutdown process.
Hang the economic crisis around their necks. He is not in danger of losing support anywhere else.
Win.
It's "Give 'Em Hell Harry" 2020 style, running not against the challenger, but the perceived enemy, and setting yourself up as the necessary counterbalance.
GWB tried it, among many other things, in 1992. His team didn't stay on message, because nothing was sticking, and he lost.
But Trump has something Bush does not: a religiously fanatical base.
In reading this article about Dick Allen, I was struck by the following passage:William C. Kashatus wrote:To address the pressing need for crime control, Tate appointed Frank Rizzo as police commissioner. Unfortunately, Rizzo’s streetwise, shoot-from-the-hip, tough cop style became synonymous with the public’s image of Philadelphia and it wasn’t a good one. He antagonized the black community with his outspoken comments on race, voicing sentiments previously unspeakable among responsible public officials, couched in rhetoric of physical intimidation. The size of Rizzo’s charisma and personality inspired unreasoned loyalty among whites and fear as well as violent opposition among blacks. During his tenure as police commissioner “crime control” became a euphemism for “anti-black movements.”
This might as well be about Donald Trump. He is the angry white person's Obama. And he is going to win, because there are simply too many of them in PA and MI and WI.
