I’m sure you’ve heard this joke, Rev, but I’ll tell it for those who haven’t since it’s so apropos:

A very devout man is drowning in a flood when someone comes by in a row boat and says, “Climb in. I’ll save you.” The devout man says: “No thanks. The Lord will save me!”

A minute or two later a motor boat comes by and those in the motor boat say, “Climb in. We’ll save you!” The devout man says: “No thanks. The Lord will save me!”

Finally a helicopter comes by and drops a basket to save the drowning man. But he refuses, saying: “No thanks. The Lord will save me!”

A few minutes later the devout man drowns. When he gets to heaven he says to God: “I was such a devout man with unyielding faith yet you let me die.” God replied: “Hey, schmuck! I sent two boats and a helicopter. What more do you want?”

PA Senate Rs are adding amendments to give power to the counties to determine what businesses can open or not (knowing full well what counties would open), in an effort to make the bill "look" better.

Pretty much every union (outside one or two) is against this plan along with actual people involved in the health community. But the people WHO do want this wear spurs on their dress shoes.
