Can't tell if or where you are being sarcastic there, unless I'm misreading it.

they are sacrificing a few state Senate seats for the rest of their own phony baloney jobs

Yeah. Very gross. They can be pretty reasonable one on one. But for some reason get them all together and they march towards destruction together.

everything; Senator Spurs Mastriano's bill is 6 pages
it would terminate the emergency declaration and allow everything to reopen provided they follow CDC guidelines (there's no enforcement mechanism)

Penalty.--A person that does not comply with an order
5 under subsection (a) is subject to an administrative penalty of $500.

i imagine businesses will be OK with that amount

Yes, he is melting down because he won't get the credit. Nor should he get any credit for the shitty 'open back up the economy' task force he put together of the chief grifters of his administration.

Realistically, trump has 3 things he could do here;

1- push for more testing (would mean his earlier claims were lies)
2- push for more PPE (would mean his earlier claims were lies)
3- push to open up economy and lead thru that sense of America roaring back

The governors took away the only thing trump had to really play with that doesn’t clearly expose him as a complete liar.

All while Bernie is out there endorsing and playing nice with Biden.

Great day.

Yup, best day of 2020 for America so far. Starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel re: Trump.

Mastriano wears Spurs on his dress shoes because...?

This is a guy that has enough away in the Senate to push his leadership towards this.

basically, sick leave is for those exhibiting COVID-19 or directly exposed and that's it

you would get fined if you went to work

and actually, the way sections 5 and 6 are read, it doesn't indicate a fine for business at all, simply the 'person' (though I guess BUSINESSES ARE PEOPLE, my friend)

the only 'enforcement' against unsafe working conditions appear to be written reports by the Department of Health to Committees controlled by Republicans in the General Assembly

so any and every business can basically reopen and go back to the way it was pre-COVID-19 and fuck you if you complain

It makes sense if you think Trump will lose and you want the Dem president to have something to deal with right off the bat that will effect lives and livelihoods, something that can be used to hit them with right off the bat.

That assumes Wolf won't veto this legislation.

Clearly he will.

I would imagine so, but I was just responding to why it might make sense. If Wolf doesn't or can't, then the date makes sense.

It’s more along the lines of Pacino said: theses idiots look good to their base even though it won’t pass. Nothing to do with the presidency

Was reading through Briahna Joy Gray's twitter feed. She is really out there and I don't think understands how government works at all or what it takes to actually pass legislation unfortunately. She is passionate about important issues, but I think she was a net negative for Sander and continues to be.

I think she was pretty terrible in her job as spokesperson, but she did graduate Harvard law and clerked for a federal judge, so I think it's a bit of a stretch to say she doesn't understand how the government works. She seemed to spend a lot of time fighting with the weirdest people on centrist Twitter. Moral of the story is that Twitter is the worst website and we should all stay off of it.
