Breakout! A COVID-19 Thread

Yesterday was sure eventful. While Lil' Vulture was driving home for the remainder of Spring Break, she got the announcement that Rhodes is cancelling face to face classes. This was rather upsetting. Then, about an hour later when she was about 1.5 hours from the house, her car started over heating. We had to go get her while she waited in a parking lot of a closed convenience store, which was scary for everyone.

Several universities in Arkansas have closed, and we have a meeting at 4 this afternoon and it's a pretty dynamic situation. We have been told nothing really other than don't speculate. Idiotically, the state basketball tournament is proceeding without any adjustment. Which means that 1000s of people from here are going to an arena in Hot Springs tomorrow and then they are going to return to town.

Yep - they sent out an email blast yesterday that the building he/she works in was closed and deep-cleaned overnight. Open again today.
Do they happen to take the paoli thorndale line specifically the 7:23 or 7:35 from suburban station?!

Right, i'm saying the disinfectant doesn't really do anything. You're going to catch this by breathing the same air as someone that has it and they coughed. Listen to the expert Rogan had on

That's definitely the most likely method. It can linger on surfaces for hours so if you touch that and then touch your face you're playing with fire. Disinfectant does have some mitigating ability but it may be marginal in a gym scenario with so many heavily breathing people on top of each other. Also orgies I guess.

Still nothing here. Probably just going to take matters into my own hands. Can’t imagine being here Monday

We were told "if you feel ill at all or come into contact with anyone you suspect to be ill, you should work from home." Also if there is a confirmed case in the building they are going to shut it down and send everyone home.

Based on everything I've read, by that point it's too late.

This week has been really tough/weird at work. Without a clear approach from the fed or state govt, we're all essentially at the mercy of our employer's exec leadership to appropriately straddle the line between the health and safety of employees and net income. Not great!
Continued success, thanks for comin' on the show!

Can we call in Obama?

If he did a speech tonight, I’m 99.9% confident the markets would stabilize.
On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed is he?

@wojespn
Jazz star Donovan Mitchell has tested positive for the coronavirus, league sources tell ESPN. Jazz players privately say that Rudy Gobert had been careless in the locker room touching other players and their belongings. Now a Jazz teammate has tested positive.
