It took me a bit to figure out what that Johns Hopkins site was saying, but now that I've cracked the code their numbers are close to 6% fatality rate.
They give three numbers: "Total Confirmed", "Total Deaths", and "Total Recovered". So to get the fatality rate, you ignore the "confirmed", and just do (Deaths)/(Deaths+Recovered)
Right now it's 3,214 deaths and 51,039 recovered, so (3214)/(3214+51039)=5.92%
Total confirmed is 94,261, so there are still 43,222 folks with yet undetermined outcomes who cannot be used in calculating the fatality rate.
