Things seems to be going well in China with this. Since we should expect that the reality should be higher then reported, especially based on informal reported of relatives who have died who are not in any count, this is beyond scary. Stay well MB.

The estimation is that each sick person is infecting between 1.4 and 2.5 people, which basically means it's in doubling mode. Exponential growth and no ability or treatment to stop it beyond keeping sick people away from healthy people. And that's difficult because, unlike SARS, people can transmit it before they even show symptoms. The only thing keeping this from turning into a global catastrophe is the quarantine placed in China and the fact that the lethality is pretty low. But if there's another mutation, we could have a REAL problem. Either way, this will dwarf SARS.

Lost in this is the hit China's economy is going to take. There was already concerns about their slowing economy and this is a huge hit with businesses remaining closed and their efforts to curb debt spending put on hold. Depending how long this drags out, we could also be looking at a global economic downturn due to it.

I hope this puts an end to these markets with illegal meat and animal sales. There's talk that it will. That would be one good thing that could come out of this. This is the second global medical emergency caused by those markets. Fucking bats. Who eats rats with wings?

I opened an account with a bank name "BMO Harris" over the weekend. Had to call their customer service and in doing so learned that they pronounce it "Beemo Harris". I feel like I just gave all my money to a hobo.

There is talk of making us stay in Thailand because of the virus and we'd have to work from here. Not sure how we would be paid or reimbursed.

i had gotten a car loan through a dealership with them about 10 years ago. and i was like wtf is beemo harris, i thought i had good credit. didn't realize it was B M O Harris.

kinda like the time i moved to san diego and kept hearing commercials for al capone ford. i was like who the hell names a car dealership after a notorious gangster... turns out is was el cajon instead.

also never tell anyone from socal that you went through or stopped at LANEkissTER aka lancaster california, they will have no idea what you're talking about.

I would totally buy a truck from Al Capone Ford.
