Only managed about 1 1/2 hours of the trial today. Just couldn't take anymore. If I want to hear lies, excuses and general bullshit I'll start dating again.
Drunk and stupid is no way to be remembered but it is an easy way to forget.

No, they were each the sitting president when they ran. Al Gore was the incumbent vice president.
I didn't include sitting presidents because that won't be the case for Democrats this year, and because sitting presidents are judged by their term as president, not what happened before that.

If Collins runs, he would complicate the path for a Republican to hold onto the seat and increase the chances where no candidate gets a majority of the vote, forcing it to a two-person runoff. All of the Republicans and Democrats face each other in the special election as part of Georgia's election rules.

Steve Rattner was on Morning Joe this morning and showed a chart that expressed, if I remember it correctly, that Sanders's policies will add 20% to the level of government spending as a % of GDP. Warren was 12%, Biden was 1.5%. The chart showed Obama was at 1.0%. I will continue to try to find the chart and post it.

I mean the question is moot because the trial is before a completely disingenous rigged jury but I wonder if it would have been better if the House had made the Articles of Impeachment - 1. Attempted Bribery; 2. Attempted Extortion; 3. Attempted Federal Election Interference, etc. Just so I wouldn't have to hear these childish arguments that the Articles don't allege crimes.

There’s no such thing as attempted bribery because the attempt to bribe is bribery. The R’s would ignore that fact because reality doesn’t matter and they’d say that he can’t be guilty of bribery because he didn’t actually commit a bribe. 70% of the country would believe that.
