I mean it is clearly true and they'll talk about anything that isn't actually Donald Trump's bad deeds.

Cippolone says the Dems left out big parts of the transcript. He then just reads chunks of sentences that aren't really connected and proclaims nothing wrong happened on the call.

They're leading argument is reading random parts of the transcript and the video of Schiff ad libing the call.

The dem nominee should just buy the airtime and debate a cardboard cutout if Trump. Now that would be great TV

Even I have to admit that "The Democrats talked too long" is a very strong and compelling defense. I'm convinced. Four more years, baby.

They shouldn’t have to buy anything. The debates should happen as scheduled and air regardless of how many participants show up.

Ask hard-hitting questions without him there to defend himself. “President Trump, what did you mean when you told a foreign national to ‘take out’ a US ambassador?” and then silence for 30 seconds or whatever.

The Yovanovitch stuff starts around 42 mins. Pretty weird that Donald has no idea who Parnas is.

Roughly 2 short hours to entirely shred Shifty Schiff's case

It took me longer than it should have to find this since I misspelled Mayor Pete's name. On the precipice of Iowa, I think it's time to do an update of our jerseyhoya political rankings!

1) possible top choice; 2) enthusiastic about, if my top choice(s) fade; 3) still like, but not thrilled; 4) would vote for in the general, but never in a primary; 5) may vote third party in the general

Who is still running:

Bennett, Biden, Bloomberg, Buttigieg, Delaney, Gabbard, Klobuchar, Patrick, Sanders, Steyer, Warren, Yang

1: Warren
2: Sanders, Yang
3: Biden, Buttigieg, Klobuchar
4: Bennett, Bloomberg, Delaney, Gabbard, Patrick, Steyer
5: Fuck Trump

1) Biden
2)
3) Klobuchar, Mayor Pete
4) Everybody else
5)

#2 being blank does not indicate a gap between my top choice and the next. I'm not enthusiastic about anyone, not even my top choice.

VFW slammed Trump today for his comments about the head injuries from the attacks in Iraq. That won't help him with old white dudes.

I don't consider this "slammed"

"In light of today's announcement from the defense department that 34 U.S. service members suffered traumatic brain injuries as a result of Iran's retaliatory strike and President Trump's remarks which minimized these troops’ injuries, the Veterans of Foreign Wars cannot stand idle on this matter.

TBI is a serious injury and one that cannot be taken lightly. TBI is known to cause depression, memory loss, severe headaches, dizziness and fatigue — all injuries that come with both short- and long-term effects.

The VFW expects an apology from the president to our service men and women for his misguided remarks. And, we ask that he and the White House join with us in our efforts to educate Americans of the dangers TBI has on these heroes as they protect our great nation in these trying times. Our warriors require our full support more than ever in this challenging environment." — William “Doc” Schmitz, VFW National Commander

Glossing over the "old white dudes" term for now, Trump responding as he normally does to criticism could swing a significant number of votes.

I assume that was a Trump tweet?

Separately, I received this from NJ Dem. St. Committee:

Friend,
We hit the ground running in 2020. Last week, I laid out our road map for the year ahead with our State of the State Address. Just this month we’ve passed bills codifying the protections of the Affordable Care Act at the state level, providing funding for women's health care, and providing security funding for non-profits at risk of terrorist attacks -- all in the name of making New Jersey stronger and fairer for everyone.

I know that we're stronger when New Jerseyans have a say in our democracy. That’s why I’m excited to invite you to a town hall at The Woodland in Maplewood next Wednesday, January 29th at 7:00 p.m.

We’ll talk about the issues the middle class faces -- from education, to property taxes to anything else on your mind -- and what we can do to make smart investments in our collective future.

I hope to see you at 7:00 p.m. in Maplewood. Doors open at 6:15 p.m., and seating is first come, first served. I hope I’ll see you there. We need your voice.

Sincerely,
Gov. Phil Murphy

I can't be the only one to see the irony (perhaps idiocy) of holding an event to discuss "issues the middle class faces" in a place where the median house is nearly $600,000.
