really is sad mb. this is their responsibility to uphold and follow through with the checks and balances in our governmental system. shouldn't play politics with that, you have to do the right thing. it's a very slippery slope.

If public schools are not being sucked dry already, this seemingly could put them in even more peril.

Graham gave Fox the news today he's heard nothing exonerating the Bidens in this impeachment.

Buckle up, BBC teaser has a Brit reporting from the American Rust Belt somewhere in PA, about how American's feel about impeachment.

- Talked to Harrisburgers
Bartender Bernie Bro. Meh. Sort of gave a Bernie lite hate on the process and the point of everything. Mentioned Hillary and holding his nose to cast his last vote.
Talked to a Pol who was a banner waver for his party. Meh meh
Talked to a NPR staffer, could not tell you what she said (sorry)

- On to Schmokin
Local pol Dem supporting the general premise. Talked division. Says that local politics tarred by national political
Guy on the street - respects the process, but sees it as a political maneuver. Sings the anthem about trying to get rid of an elected president.
Local editor - everyone likely loses

Overall, pretty much exactly what you would guess.

Heard Graham has been taking notes to add pointers for Trumps team to refute the House's arguments. Living that oath of impartiality.

One in three Republican voters (32%) in a new Pew national poll say that Donald Trump "probably" or "definitely" did something illegal either while running for president or during his first three years in office.

That same Pew poll shows that just one in 10 (12%) of those same Republicans thought that Trump should be removed from office by the Senate impeachment trial. By contrast, 86% of Republicans believed Trump should not be removed. But wait -- there's more. Among those Republicans who said Trump has "probably" or "definitely" done something illegal in either the 2016 campaign or the White House, 59% believe he should not be removed from office.

Yeah he broke the law and may have even cheated to win election to begin with. But, who cares, he's on our team.

Remember when Trump never met Parnas?

A recording reviewed by ABC News appears to capture President Donald Trump telling associates he wanted the then U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch fired – and speaking at a small gathering that included Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman -- two former business associates of Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani who have since been indicted in New York.

The recording appears to contradict statements by President Trump and support the narrative that has been offered by Parnas during broadcast interviews in recent days. Sources familiar with the recording said the recording was made during an intimate April 30, 2018 dinner at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Trump has said repeatedly he does not know Parnas, a Soviet-born America who has emerged as a wild card in Trump’s impeachment trial, especially in the days since Trump was impeached.

"Get rid of her!" is what the voice that appears to be President Trump’s is heard saying. "Get her out tomorrow. I don't care. Get her out tomorrow. Take her out. Okay? Do it."

I'm sorta hoping Pelosi just opens up new articles and brings in all these people who haven't yet testified. Then subpoenas Bolton and the other people they never got around to doing. And enters into evidence all the stuff that's come out since the House finished up. I know it will turn off some people, but I don't really care. Drag this out for another two months. And when that's done, start new investigations into any one of the other Trump crimes. Just keep hammering him, over and over again. This isn't whitewater or benghazi or clinton's emails. There's plenty of real stuff there that will keep making it obvious that the guy is a criminal and won't let him get any momentum going heading into the final months of the campaign. It will also give his opponent stuff to hammer him with. Don't let him breathe.

Be disappointed when you hear both sides do this. Exhibit A is the aforementioned #ClintonBodyCount which is deeply believed true by far too many.

I'd wondered if this could be done. It makes the case of sloppy, rushed work for the GOP while giving freedom to ignore the inconvenient nose on their faces. It certainly could breed fatigue and grow the divide further. This is a really tough situation the nation finds itself in.

I think it's a mistake to let them move on from this and declare victory. They'll try to do that anyway, but slam them with more evidence and keep up the pressure. The evidence is ridiculous and often comes right from Trump's mouth. It's hard to declare victory when you have additional articles being drafted with emails showing that you and the people around you were discussing how to get away with breaking the law. Play that recording of him saying they have all the documents. Play the recording of him saying to get rid of the ambassador. Play them over and over and over.

Clinton wasn't perfect, as we all know, but they were successful as branding her as some kind of uber criminal and murderer just by saying it over and over, even without any real evidence. We have evidence that Trump is a criminal, a really stupid one, and the evidence is really, really good. Let's just keep shoving it down their throats over and over and over. It will turn off a few people, but it will convince a few others, and most importantly, it will keep them on the defensive.

ICYMI, I'll go non-Impeachment for a moment:

The U.S. has denied an extradition request for Anne Sacoolas, the wife of an American diplomat who police say fatally struck a British teenager with her car as he was walking on the side of the road last August.

"The United States government has declined the United Kingdom’s request for extradition of a U.S. citizen involved in a tragic vehicle accident that occurred in the United Kingdom," the U.S. said in the statement. "At the time the accident occurred, and for the duration of her stay in the UK, the U.S. citizen driver in this case had immunity from criminal jurisdiction."

"The United States has a strong law enforcement relationship with the UK and, in particular, a strong track record of close cooperation on extradition matters," according to a spokesperson from the State Department. "However, under the circumstances of this case, we strongly believe that an extradition request would be highly inappropriate."

Disgraceful.
