If you can perfect that laptop batter you have your million dollar idea.

Saw something today that pretty much perfectly captured what it is like living where I am currently living. I should have videotaped it and played it any time someone asked me what it's like....

I was coming to class this morning and it was snowing outside. There was a light dusting on the ground, maybe 1/4 inch, so they had people out to clear the sidewalks. But they don't have 2 or 3 people, there was like 30 people to clear maybe 200 meters of sidewalks total and that's if you count the walkways around all the buildings that are never used in the morning. Rather than being spread out, they were in two groups of 15 or so. There was one guy with a wheelbarrow filled with salt. He started in one group for about 2-3 minutes and then he went to the other big group. He went along the sidewalk throwing handfuls of salt onto the snowy sidewalk. The 15 or so others, each armed with a shovel or broom, followed after him, shoveling the snow AND THE SALT into the grass and leaving the slippery sidewalk with no salt. I pointed at the guy with the salt to try to tell them they were shoveling the salt into the grass, but they just smiled and the guy with the wheelbarrow gave me a thumbs up.

Each year they have to replace the grass in all the grassy areas because they can't get it to grow properly. Now I know why.

the students are too lazy and dishonest to learn. If it's not graded, they don't care about it, and if there is a way to cheat they will find it. Truth.

My classes suck this year. It's defeating.

TAMARA ECCLESTONE, 35 DAUGHTER OF FORMULA 1 CHIEF BURGLARIZED of $67M IN Jewelry Heist

She and her husband left the country for the holidays and the loot got swept up by some jackpot winning thieves. Some people will never learn, never keep more then $1M in loose jewelry in the house while you are out and about.

FFS. There was a little snow and a steady rain with temps closing on 40 and the person in the left lane felt that they needed to drive 20 in a 50. When people got around to being able to pass them on the right they got all road ragey pumping the brakes and swerving. Just get out of the lane, or better yet stay home if you are a nervous driver in light precipitation.

Text from my mom this morning:

I think we are buying that house. If [[my stepdad]] dies, will you and Julie come live with me rent free? It's all going to be yours some day anyway.

My stepdad is a month or so away from 56 and is in the best shape of his life.

An Avondale woman has been arrested for allegedly trying to set her live-in boyfriend on fire.

Jones told police "she was upset with [the victim] because he would not celebrate with her after she got hired by Subway," according to the police report.

and there is soooo much more goodness in the article.

“She was mad you didn’t celebrate it?” asked reporter Briana Whitney.

“Yeah, she was kind of mad about that,” Davis said.

“Did you expect her to try and light you on fire because of that?” asked Whitney.

“Uh no, I didn’t expect that,” he said.
