How in the HECK is my printer out of color ink when I only print black and white 99.999999% of the time?

I'm also out of black ink, which is also surprising based on when I put new cartridges in because I really don't print many things at all. I think someone is sneaking in and printing things.

Bought a box of taquitos for something quick and effortless on those days. There's 23 in the box. It's one of the dumbest things ever.

There's a trick where you put black tape over the see through part of the color ink cartridges and it tricks the printer into thinking that they're full. I've done it and it works. look it up.
