Trump's job approval is like 55%. He's been helpful to Rispone. JBE is pro gun and very pro life and his job approval was around 60% when the campaign started.

Morrison provided new details on the moving of the transcript between the President and Ukraine's leader to a highly classified server, saying it was a "mistake".
During his deposition, Morrison relayed senior NSC lawyer John Eisenberg's explanation that Eisenberg's executive secretary mistakenly put it in the highly classified system. Morrison acknowledged that he and Eisenberg had previously discussed that access to the transcript should be restricted.

Upon finding it the transcript in the special server, they asked themselves, "how did it get on there?" Morrison continued, "John (Eisenberg) related that he did not ask for it to be put on there, but that the Executive Secretariat staff misunderstood his recommendation for how to restrict access."

Why is it always the secretaries? All this time and THAT excuse is the best they could do? Time to get "Rose Mary Woods" into the committee room to see if he/she takes the blame for it or goes on record saying he/she was instructed to put the "transcript" there.

Separately, is the GOP trying to make Stefanik their version of AOC? Are they just trying to find someone other than immensely unlikeable characters like Nunes or Jordan or Conaway or Gohmert to carry the ball for a while?

Stefanik gives away nothing to Nunes and crew in terms of unlikeability.

AOC is genuinely charismatic. It's hard to warm up to Schumer, Pelosi, Hillary, and such. I don't agree with very much of AOC's agenda but I don't question her sincerity or integrity for a second. She needs to get and stay on the talk show circuit just to convince middle America that she's not the monster the right portrays her to be. The smartest thing the GOP has done is to box her in with the other freshmen Dem women to smear her with the #AngryMuslim/nonwhite tag.

Stefanik, like Gym Jordan and Nunes and Trump, is a caricature almost too weird to be lampooned on SNL because reality is just too odd.
