Emergency sirens wailed on Hawaii's Oahu and Maui islands Wednesday evening warning of a tsunami ... It was a false alarm triggered by a police exercise. You may recall that previously there was an erroneous threat of a pending nuclear attack. This seems like something the Hawaiian authorities might want to invest some time in getting right.

Ordered a pair of cane bolts for my new barn door in June. They were delivered and are installed. Just got a ping from UPS that I'm getting a 16lb package from that dealer tomorrow. No idea WTF it is. 16 lbs should be way heavier than my prior order, so I doubt the they just accidentally shipped them again. It'll be like christmas!

There's this documentary on Netflix about a 1970s cabbie. Dude could be Robert De Niro's grandson. The resemblance is uncanny.

Palio horse race, more bizarre then one can imagine. Just your normal horse race around the town square over seen by the church featuring bull penis riding crops and influenced by corruption played out in front of the frothy audience. The whole thing is pretty insane.

DC Cab had quite the cast of stars. Not receiving a single nomination, yet alone an award win, was criminal.

NPR's 1A throws out to a break and says they are playing a Car's song as the outro to acknowledge Ric Ocasek, but on comes the Spice Girls' Run the World (Girls). Randomly sad.

Roll Play (restaurant) is owned by Happy Endings Hospitality Group (HEH) who opened Chasin' Tails in Arlington in 2012.
