Are game commissioners allowed to accept tips? Had a dead deer here for a few days which was clearly diseased like they have been getting everywhere and it stunk like something from out of hell. Also it was obvious that other animals were at it and probably have diseases now too. Its entire guts were ripped out.

He even almost puked and I felt bad for him. I just blurted out do you want a tip? He might have or might not have because he sort of disregarded me with "this is our job man" it so I didn't give him anything and feel like shithead. Wanted to give him a 20 at least to get that smell out of here.

When it’s something like that and kind of on the fence regarding a tip... usually I throw ‘em a 10 and tell them to get a six pack on me. No one has ever refused or felt slighted.

Hard to blame the operator of a motel with a $50/night rate for charging his customers extra to stay longer.

Under $1500/mo, utilities and maid service included...sign me up!!

Perfect example of the clientele who justify the extra charge.

just received a confirmation for my 'power red' red cross blood drive appointment. at my firehouse on 12/10.

I did not make any appointment. I do give at every blood drive we have, and would have eventually made an appointment for this one also. But I've never given 'power red'- I thought they only wanted type O for that.

Last time I gave blood (probably about 5 years ago) they asked if I wanted to give a power red. I asked "what's that?" and they explained they take out twice as much blood, separate the red cells from the plasma, and put the plasma back. I blurted out "why would anyone want to do that?" The answer was that then I wouldn't need to donate as often. I DON'T NEED TO DONATE AT ALL. Ghouls.

I do Power Red every time the blood drive comes to my company (quarterly I guess?). Haven't noticed any difference from when I did regular donations previously. Except now the Red Cross pesters me in between when I'm eligible...

Does the Red Cross benefit from Power Red though? Does concentrated plasma have super powers?

i think it's because they basically get two pints worth from one donation. And that seems to be the motivation for the donor, also- instead of giving every 56 days, you can only give every 112 days.

and it's type O, A negative, and B negative, so no, I'm not eligible. Red Cross said that I "signed the pre-sign list" at my last donation (which did not happen) and cancelled the appointment. Whatevs.
