He did say he was leaving in his last post, but I figured he just meant leaving the thread.

forgot about the stranger things thread. that was crazy. i wasn't expecting a casualty coming from that thread. the politics thread, hands down has claimed the most lives. i think the sixers thread has been in the number two spot. i got to imagine the penn state thread hasn't claimed a life but definitely more than a few casualties. remarkable that cballs has only suffered some minor scrapes and bruises there.

kinda surprised i'm still here with all the shrapnel, bullets and cuts i've received over the years.

instead of voting for the hall of fame, we should be handing out some purple hearts around here instead.

If you’re a large middle-aged bald fellow, and you are driving a black Jeep, it’s a little awkward for your personalized plate to say black lady.

A light plane crashed onto a major commuter route in Maryland, hitting a car. What the heck kind of insurance claim is that?

Missed the departure because it was in the Strangerthings thread, and that has to be your jam. That said, the ignore feature is a wonderful thing.

In other news, there was another regular poster who disappeared for an extended stretch. I had a peek to confirm my suspicion, which must have been a bat signal because he turned up in a matte of days.

TIL that Flying Flamingo is a traditional statement of disagreement in the British House of Commons.

Still funny.

I saw some deodorant that cost $12. That seems insane to me. And this wasn't at whole foods or some bougie place, this was at our local Wal-Mart. I can't imagine many of my neighbors are plunking for $12 deodorant. Of course, this is part of the whole "aluminum free" thing that is going on, but generally, aluminum is not found in deodorant, only antiperspirant.

If they were square or triangular the turns would be more difficult.

Got my haircut today. This girl has cut my hair before. The cut is always fine, nothing fantastic. But the shampoos. Whoa mama, the shampoos! A little slice of Heaven.

My son doesn’t like his head touched and when he was little he hated it when we washed his hair and even now he won’t even really dry his hair very well when he gets out of the shower. A few months ago I took him to get his hair cut at a place that does the whole shampoo and hot towel deal without realizing it, I was hoping he wouldn’t hate it or like freak out, but he wound up loving it. I’m sure the fact that it was a college girl in a low cut shirt didn’t hurt though.

I was the same way. Never liked getting my haircut, until probably when I was around 10 or so my mom took me to an attractive young woman instead of Sal.

There's a motel I pass by on my way from work each day that advertises

$50 per day
$370 per week

How do you figure that?
