Is the publishing of Trump donors the beginning of the end for the Joaquin Castro's run for the presidency? That is a truly bad precedent to set as legitimate, and it is hardly a unifying stance.

Do not let this moment pass to call for a sensation of hostilities between citizens built upon a card house of political rhetoric.

Good news update, the young man is back in Montana recovering from a fractured skull, so the blood was not from a TBI. Still there is no reason to react or act out over a simple transgressions. Proportional response: remind the young man that it is respectful to remove one's non religious cap when the anthem is played.

This is a fucked up story. The guy was convicted 9 years ago for aiming a gun into a car full of people he had gotten into an argument with, he received a 10 year suspended sentence for that.

In this case, the prosecution asked for $100,000 bail and the Judge released him with no bail. Seems like the judge has the communities saftey in his best interest. :|

Now wait a minute, the easy math says if he has a 10 year suspended sentence, and that decree was 9 years ago, should he not be rolled up and thrown away since he owes one?

TBF I do not really understand what a suspended sentence is or its mechanics. The generally accepted definition seems to be:

A suspended sentence is the judicial delay of a defendant's duty to start serving a sentence once he or she has been convicted or found guilty, so that the defendant is able to perform an intervening probation period.

If it is an elaborate probation, then should this violent act resolve the probationary scenario and the previous sentence should be enforce?

In looking at suspended sentences, it seems awfully F'ed up. Just today a South Dakota man received a suspended sentence for killing his friend while showing off his new shotgun, and a Montana man received a suspended sentence for sexually assaulting a 13 year old. WTF?

Shooting your friend with a shotgun and raping an underage girl is just business as usual in america's heartland. In Alabama, you get presidential approval to be Senator for the latter.

Beat an incumbent Dem in the primary and gain popularity quickly, yes.

Not sure about her social media or legislative style.

Yeah, this is a grey moral area with information that is already public. I don't feel sorry for these people, but I also wouldn't want my Congress-people doing this.

But people fought and died to defend your freedoms and rights. Like the right to wear a hate while a song is played.

Friends I have who actually served in Iraq and Afghanistan, for the most part, don't really give AF about all that. It's always some military version of a jock sniffer that throws a trantrum like this.
"I've always thought that the six months during the baseball season there was something in the day that wasn't there the other six months in winter. It was not that you had to listen to the game, but that you could, if you needed it."

Two signs promoting the QAnon conspiracy theory are visible in a video from Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, marking the latest link between the president and followers of the fringe movement that the FBI recently described as a potential source of domestic terror.

I bet the residence of central Mississippi are cracking bottles of champagne tonight, because DHS rolled up 680 illegals today. Where were these lollygag are’s at? Are they down on the corner? Were they plotting crimes like the masterminds they are? Were they murdering and reaping are women? What insidious thing where they doing?

The answer is that this big read took down a serious menace to our society, if crushed the workforce operating on the dayshift add a handful of factories.

In this climate I am loath to admit it, but I do have mixed feelings about this.

A crime is being committed here that arguably depresses wages both for the people in question and for the community at large, and deprives citizens and/or documented guests of work.

I think something should have been done.

That something is: come in and serve the goddamn employer with one hell of a fine that can be greatly reduced or eliminated by doing the following:

1. Submit expedited guest worker application visas for the people in his/her employ;

2. Certify and/or prove that you are doing all of the following: paying these people the federal minimum wage; backpaying them for any hours paid that were not at the minimum; paying and backpaying for all such employees all Medicare, social security, and other applicable taxes;

Or the employer can pay the prohibitive fine, which will be used to compensate employees who will no longer be able to work and will have to either return home or apply for residency status, for which they will be given priority status (meaning they will be fast-tracked). The employer may then hire properly documented workers, of course. If the employer decides to declare bankruptcy in order to try to avoid either, the government becomes the first-in-line creditor who must be made completely whole before anyone else gets a dime. Assets liquidated in such a proceeding will again be used to compensate dismissed employees, documented or otherwise.

Or they could just hire correctly in the first place!

The point is: it is a problem, it does cause resentment, it has an economic impact, and the cause of almost all of it is: capitalists. So the punishment should be theirs.

Woody Harrelson said in a recent interview that a dinner he attended with President Trump more than a decade ago was so “brutal” that he had to step away to smoke pot at one point in order to get through it.

Well put. I pine for the days when immigration issues could actually be talked about in some rational fashion. it doesn't seem that long ago,even if the problems themselves were not being actually resolved rationally. Employers shouldn't be able to abuse the laws and put their employees in a situation where they can be easily abused as well. But, there's a recognized need for labor that isn't being filled with local sources (although if employers actually paid what it was worth perhaps more of it would be). So, you work out some way for workers to legally be in the US and fully protected by the law. It seems so simple, and yet nothing is simple any more.
