By the time she’s 50 Ivanka will be Leona Helmsley 2.0.

Ivanka needs to spend a few years in prison, partly because she deserves it and partly because it would kick Donald right in the gonads.

She's distracting us from the conversation on gun control by saying... "Look over there, not only do we have mass shootings, but we also have shootings on a smaller scale. Shootings everywhere!"

(I realize she's deflecting the conversation away from white mass shootings to "urban" shootings.)

BTW, Beto is not making a mistake comparing Trump to Andrew Johnson, the man who stepped into the presidency in the wake of the Lincoln assassination. I think many think of Jackson, who was actually less horrible, but traffic in his own way.

From what I can tell, Gordon seems fairly competent. Let's hope he just stick w her.

UPDATE: he's trying to avoid elevating her to Acting. Lol

The Nebraska Republican Party on Monday called for GOP state Sen. John McCollister to re-register as a Democrat after he accused the party of enabling white supremacy in the United States.

“John McCollister has been telegraphing for years that he has little if nothing in common with the Republican voters in his district by consistently advocating for higher taxes, restrictions on American’s Second Amendment rights, and pro-abortion lobby,” Nebraska Republican Party Executive Director Ryan Hamilton said in a statement. “His latest false statement about Republicans should come as no surprise to anyone who is paying attention, and we’re happy he has finally shed all pretense of being a conservative.”

I keep hoping the Republican Party will have some kind of reckoning at their national level about this and I keep getting disappointed.

Oh FFS, Don having his press moment in front of the roaring chopper wasting fuel, again. Making cases about people grabbing headlines with very low poll numbers, people back stabbing him after he had nice talks, and that the Ohio guy was a Bernie/Warren fan that no one mentions. All the while using that annoying third person thing.

Trump had been asked if he was concerned about the rise of white supremacy.

"I am concerned about the rise of any group of hate. I don't like it, any group of hate, whether its white supremacy, whether it's any other kind of supremacy, whether its antifa... I am very concerned about it and I'll do something about it."

Trump also said he thinks his rhetoric "brings people together."

Well, there is the 2019 version of "Good People". I guess I am glad it is not August 11th.

Trounced him? When did Trump run against O'Rourke?

Sees like DJT will skip a stop at the Dayton site. Probably too many protesters for his taste, besides he thinks there is not an appetite for gun control.

13 year old at a rodeo slammed to the ground for not taking his hat off for the national anthem. Reported that he had blood coming from his ears, which makes him a candidate for a TBI. He was airlifted out of state for treatment.

Brockway reportedly told the people around him afterward that he was right to attack the boy, who [whitness Taylor] Hennick said had been wearing a red baseball cap.

He [Curt James Brockway, the attacker] said the boy "was disrespecting the national anthem by wearing this hat. I heard him saying that in front of a lot of people," Hennick said. "People were just shocked."

Do not let this moment pass to call for a sensation of hostilities between citizens built upon a card house of political rhetoric.

Good news update, the young man is back in Montana recovering from a fractured skull, so the blood was not from a TBI. Still there is no reason to react or act out over a simple transgressions. Proportional response: remind the young man that it is respectful to remove one's non religious cap when the anthem is played.

Mind you I have done exactly zero research on this; having said that I feel as though I have seen much, much worse in other states, including, say, this one.

EDIT: I was thinking of pre-re-draw PA, and on further review, the 2 snaking its way into the 1 in OH like a cancer looks... strange. I know that’s where Cincinnati is to so I assume city v. rural dynamics got involved there.
