Read a phrase the other day, something like “She’s into doing mukbangs”. Terrified of what this could possibly be, I googled it, preparing for the worst. It’s not at all what I expected, but I think it’s more disturbing than whatever images were running in my mind.

TIL that Kate Smith is much older (and, in fact, much more dead) than I thought. I thought she was alive and in her 70s or so.

EDIT: Also, she had nothing to do with the mukbang I mentioned, as far as I know.

Only time I ever heard her name was associated with God Bless America and The Star Spangled Banner, but I had no idea when or where she had performed them, and had no image in my head of her and didn't really care. Her renditions obviously did not make much of an impact on me as they did others, as I wouldn’t have been able to pick them out of a lineup.

I remember for the ten years or so following her death, i thought she was alive but just kinda sick and was waiting patiently to see her perform live to see what all the fuss was about.

And I think it was at some playoff game and seeing her perform on the big screen and told my friend the exact same thing and some dude next to me, hits me on the shoulder and says something like "she's fucking dead you idiot".

Spent 2 hours on Tuesday getting my lawn in order. Yesterday I had a bunch of lumber delivered for a new deck. Instead of dumping it in the wide open driveway they dumped it on the lawn. Spent another 2 hours last night moving it to the driveway so I could fertilize. Assholes.

Lowe's did an awesome job delivering my deck materials. So efficient and they put it exactly where I wanted /pip

my neighbor across the street is having their (large) deck re-done. We've no parking lanes on our street. The driver blocked a lane and got the forklift off the back and as he just hit the top of their driveway with the first load it fell off and scattered all over the place. dude was not happy. i should've pulled my security footage for laffs.
