The Consumer Federation of America released a study Monday revealing Angie's List shows users lists of recommended "top rated pros" that consist solely of the website's advertisers — even those that aren't highly ranked.

Shocked, just shocked.

Saw a new scroll that a pre-school teacher won the HGTV "dream home" valued at 2.6M. I assume it will be on the market next year because she cannot afford the property taxes.

I always assumed that almost pretty much anybody who won that would immediately sell it.

not only the property tax but the income tax also.

dude who does one of the tesla pods i frequent got enough referrals to get a free roadster v2 when they're made (around 2020). Value $250K. He was very conflicted about how he was going to afford his 'free' car, but then his referrals kept piling up until he was awarded a SECOND roadster. So he's going to sell one in order to be able to keep the other.

picked Morrowind back up, mostly surprised my xBox still works. I forgot how glitchy/exploitable that game is. I had to stop myself from just going straight into god mode because it kind of trivializes the whole game.

I want my townhouse back. Mowing the yard every 3 days is not fun. It will rain again tomorrow then need mowed again Monday or Tuesday.

My 30th high school reunion is tomorrow. The class dinner is at a restaurant, which is a departure from previous major reunions, where it was always held at someone's house. Why the change?

Today I learned that at the reunion dinner 5 years ago, two of my classmates got busy with each other in the powder room. One of them was married to someone else at the time.

So I guess after that, no one wants to offer their house up.

Seems like it would be more embarrassing in a public bathroom at a restaurant, but I suppose the organizers know best.

There are powder rooms at restaurants too.

I mean, I'm assuming that no one will try to get busy in the restaurant bathroom, but perhaps I shouldn't.

I’ve actually never received an invitation to any of my high school reunions (surprise, surprise). I also just realized that next year will be the 20 year anniversary, which absolutely freaking blows my mind in that super depressing sort of way.

I assume one of the 2 random ones are the Ninja Rap and the other one is... he had a rastafarian song but I can't remember if that was a rastafarian remix of Ice Ice Baby.

Correct ninja rap is 3 (ice ice baby is 1&2) then 4 is play that funk music with 5 ice ice baby again

There was kid Phil in my class and every year his uncle had him watch his place on the outskirts of the district while he went on vacation. So every year we had a great party at phil’s uncle’s house. Senior year I was retiring for the night and headed to the basement couch. this one sorta snobbish girl came down, got naked and wound up banging a fairly ugly dude (who was dating the hottest girl two grades above us, which made even less sense) right in front of myself and a few others who had already passed out down there. She def regretted it when she sobered up. Five year reunion went off without a hitch but for the ten year, said girl was in charge and asked for recs on where to hold it. I was at my buddy’s house on his computer when i saw it, so logged into his Facebook of course, I responded “we should look into phil’s uncle’s house.” She shut the ten year reunion page down, bitched out my friend who had no clue what she was talking about a few days later and the ten year reunion was dead before it got started. This year would be 15 and nary a peep. Not sure if anybody celebrates that anyway. With social media you can pretty much keep tabs on the people you’re curious about but don’t want to see or talk to anyway.

That was a magnificent tale.
