When Shine assumed command at Fox, the 2016 campaign was nearing its end, and Trump and Clinton were all but tied. That fall, a FoxNews.com reporter had a story that put the network’s journalistic integrity to the test. Diana Falzone, who often covered the entertainment industry, had obtained proof that Trump had engaged in a sexual relationship in 2006 with a pornographic film actress calling herself Stormy Daniels. Falzone had worked on the story since March, and by October she had confirmed it with Daniels through her manager at the time, Gina Rodriguez, and with Daniels’s former husband, Mike Moz, who described multiple calls from Trump. Falzone had also amassed e-mails between Daniels’s attorney and Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen, detailing a proposed cash settlement, accompanied by a nondisclosure agreement. Falzone had even seen the contract.

But Falzone’s story didn’t run—it kept being passed off from one editor to the next. After getting one noncommittal answer after another from her editors, Falzone at last heard from LaCorte, who was then the head of FoxNews.com. Falzone told colleagues that LaCorte said to her, “Good reporting, kiddo. But Rupert wants Donald Trump to win. So just let it go.” LaCorte denies telling Falzone this, but one of Falzone’s colleagues confirms having heard her account at the time.

I am loathe to "victim" shame but I think I am most disappointed by Falzone actually letting it go. That story may well have swung the election and the American people deserved to know. Imagine if Woodward and Bernstein just said, "Ahh, fuck it".

That's a pretty funny sentence to read.

Remind me, has Rand Paul ever made a public statement opposing his party platform, then reneged on it?

Don't know what you are referring to but whatever. Do you want his vote or not? As an anti-Trump Republican, I'm happy he is voting that way which is why I posted it.

Trump directly intervened to pressure the Justice Department to reject the AT&T - Time Warner merger to retaliate against CNN. Forget the Russia scandal, is this not an impeachable offense?

I think that the last time was when Paul had been a holdout against McConnell’s plans to repeal and replace “Obamacare.” Or was it the opposition to the nomination of Mike Pompeo as secretary of state? I forget. I just do not trust him to not be working some side deal, so I am in the believe it when I see it camp.

It is according to Kellyanne's husband, who was replying to another tweet:

George Conway

If proven, such an attempt to use presidential authority to seek retribution for the exercise of First Amendment rights would unquestionably be grounds for impeachment.

No words can sum up my disgust

I feel literally ill.

Here is the lie that goes with it:

Earlier this week, Democrats threw a hissy fit when West Virginia Republicans correctly identified Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Abdullahi Omar as “the proof we have forgotten” the lessons of 9/11.

While Democrats whined and complained that the sentiment was “anti-Muslim,” they didn’t tell their supporters as they pushed their fake outrage that Omar is literal proof of this. Her cousin was a 9/11 hijacker.

Omar’s cousin, Alqadib Aleimlaq, was a member of Al Qaeda residing in the United Arab Emirates. He assisted in the hijack of Flight 93, which crash-landed in Pennsylvania and failed to hit its target. Omar’s cousin died in the crash along with the rest of the passengers. But his legacy lives on through her.

A Justice Department spokesman told The Hill that [Matthew] Whitaker’s last day was Saturday but did not expand on the circumstances surrounding his departure or his plans after leaving. It is unclear where Whitaker might go, including whether he might seek another role in the Trump administration.

So he left without any acknowledgement whatsoever.

There were turbulent years, to be sure, but all in all I wouldn’t trade my marriage to Stormy for $130,000.

The admins statement about everything, but shooting at Nadler, is something else.

Now that they realize the only Collusion with Russia was done by Crooked Hillary Clinton & the Democrats, Nadler, Schiff and the Dem heads of the Committees have gone stone cold CRAZY. 81 letter sent to innocent people to harass them. They won’t get ANYTHING done for our Country!

Is Rep. Omar going to win or lose the battle to criticize Israeli policy. Rep. Omar seems ridiculously clumsy in her path to maybe highlight legitimate policy problems by tripping through offensive verbal imagery. Where it might be taken far past what it is for political gain by her opponents, Omar seems to be unable to make good on her promise to learn from her mistakes. Clearly this has focused the GOP by stating that this inability to course correct shows who she is, and even if that is not completely correct it is not easy to refute, especially to a general population that only seems to process at the tweet level of data.

We could simply not play into the absurdity of it. Israel's government is led by a right-wing goon that may very well lose his election in a month and/or be arrested. Perhaps we should look at how our relationship has blinded us to Israel's fault and crimes, which helps neither us or Israel.
