Phoenix police have arrested a woman after they found her friend's body in an alley.

Police arrested 24-year-old Sabrina Slaughter after police found 22-year-old Nicole Nicholson's body in an alley shortly before noon on Wednesday.

first, unless this is sergeant's kid, might be best to put the surname to rest. and really sabrina? didn't like sally or sonya? and you wonder why some kids turn out the way they do. god rest her soul, but nicole nicholson? PARENTS!

Man. Knew it. What a weird dude.

Guys in MAGA hats at 2 am. Sure.

he didn't say maga hats! he didn't say that!

Unbelievable. His exact quote about not saying MAGA hats was:

There were claims Jussie had told police his attackers were wearing the Make America Great Again (MAGA) hats that are associated with President Donald Trump.

"I never said that. I didn't need to add anything like that," Jussie said.

"I don't need some MAGA hat as the cherry on top of some racist sundae."

A racist sundae with a MAGA hat cherry on top. If he made this all up, he needs a better writer.

This is kinda like the opposite of that SNL sketch with Paul Simon where he plays Billy Paul, a take-off on Billy Jack. They do a parody of the ice cream shop scene from the original movie. I can't find the clip, but the best lines were:

Billy Paul (after beating up ice cream store rednecks): I want a triple cone: chocolate strawberry and vanilla. That's red, black, and white -- together!

Hippy chick (Lorraine Newman): If only the world could get along as well as this ice cream cone, Billy Paul wouldn't have to kill so many people!"

anyone remember that or am I the only really old dude who used to watch the original SNL?

Way too difficult to get away with murder nowadays. Not really worth the effort. Probably why we don’t really see many serial killers anymore like in the 70s and 80s. People get caught too quickly before they have time to rack up the kills.

You just have to dispose of the bodies properly. People used to leave them lying in vacant lots. Buy a crematorium furnace for your basement and you're golden..

You'd have to be very good.

1. DNA technology.
2. Centralized, computerized criminal databases.
3. More efficient communication between law enforcement agencies.
4. Cameras everywhere.
5. Everything you do gets tracked in some way.

Speaking of killing people, I'm totally amazed nobody has gone after the top guys at the NRA. So many grieving parents who could easily blame those people, yet nothing ever happens to them. I'm genuinely surprised. I guess people are too devastated right after the death and then they come to their senses over time.

The NRA bigwigs live in nice houses. Just park yourself in the woods nearby and use a rifle with a nice scope. Just like I used to bullseye womp rats in my T-16 back home.

started a pilot program last week to run on cardiac arrests with our local EMS squad. supposed to be 1 or 2 a month. Have had one each day since it started. Could be the episode that prompts my retirement.

We're far from the halcyon days of Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, and Richard Ramirez... I heard a song on the radio today with lyrics that had me nostalgic... Where have you gone Jeffrey Dahmer, a nation turns it's lonely eyes to you... Seriously, I think school shootings and mass murders have replaced serial killing for the most part... quick, deadly, and quantity and doesn't need the cover up with the advances in today's society as stated earlier in DNA recognition, surveillance, etc... you're not getting out alive nine times out of ten anyway
Even if you get run over by a clown car and pissed on by a busload of school children, it's still your responsibility to interpret the meaning of the event and choose a response

Or....

How many serial killers are operating in the country right now?
There are probably more than 2,000 unrecognized serial killers.

Bought COSTCO chicken noodle soup made from their leftover rotisserie chickens and it oddly has an unpleasant note of fresh vomit in its broth. Wondering if I got a batch someone vomited in or if this is what it always tastes like.

The answer is: I bought chicken noodle soup from a Costco in New Mexico.
