Sorry to hear it. Time to change clients? Jump on a DoD contract?

Serious question, why will it take so long to get back to work when this ends?

There really aren't any DoD contracts around here and my secret clearance hasn't been active in years. Plus I really enjoy working in air traffic. It takes awhile because it has something to do with contract modifications and re-funding once a "stop work order" is issued on a contract. They are keeping some staff around at 10-12 hours per week (fuck that). Apparently it's easier to get back up if there are still contractors around.

Are they still making you work? The FAA here pretty much cleaned house last week and furloughed a ton of essential workers.

Auto correct from Lilliputian?

IF they are speaking English, its accented, I will, however, challenge the general premise:

1) Bore da = Good Morning
2) peint o gwrw = a pint of beer
3) Trowch i'r chwith = turn left
4) Trowch i'r dde = turn right
5) Hwyl fawr = good bye

Yea the Welsh language itself has nothing to do with English. I like it though.

gf tells me last night that:

1. she has to renew her lease by a week from today
2. her rent is going up 200 dollars starting in april and she cant afford to stay there very long
3. shes not sure what the terms of lease breaking are if she does sign up and breaks
4. is unsure if she can get a month to month for a short time

so either she's moving in april, which would definitely be somewhere that i could not just move in to. and that would likely make my commute when i stay there a bit longer as odds are she'd go souther. then either she breaks in the summer/fall incurring some cost, or we dont move in together until like april 2020. or i guess fortune smiles on us and they let her just pay the extra 200 until like july/august and then break. odds are id be paying that 200...
or we're BOTH moving in april (aka ju goes to the city) which is probably like 3-4 months earlier than anticipated.

thanks for the heads up!

So do you airline connected folks think international flights will still be running in 5 days? My in-laws are coming to China and we're afraid their flights are going to be cancelled.

President Trump reportedly thinks pets are “low class” and was “embarrassed” when Pence announced in January that he and his family would be moving into the Naval Observatory with their pets — which included, at the time, two cats, a rabbit, and a snake.

And now a gator. Where will it end?
