Sure, I agree. I was thinking of/describing a situation where they had tapes with him coordinating with russia in an ongoing way. In that case, Trump would be doing damage to the country and we'd have enough evidence to stop it immediately. Waiting would have a greater cost (in terms of damage being done) than the small likelihood that he could beat the wrap. But in general I agree with you. They want to know how far this extends and everyone that's involved. That takes time. He's effectively neutered right now.... as long as there's no emergency. Though the shutdown is hurting a lot of people pretty badly

My dark web source had disappeared for months. I thought he (or she!) had been silenced for good, if you know what I mean. Anyway, said dark web source is telling me to expect some major bombshells soon, and things are going to ramp up VERY quickly.

Two stories broken Watergate and Trump is a traitor.

Postby joboggi » Sun Jan 13, 2019 20:56:52

Carl Bernstein comes through again.

Legendary journalist Carl Bernstein has said that he’s been told that special counsel Robert Mueller’s report will show how President Donald Trump helped Russia “destabilize the United States.”

The report is leaking. The Mueller team is making sure the word gets out.

The next few weeks will be historic.

Yeh, there's never been anything remotely like this. The most powerful person in the country is literally a traitor. And he's brining out the worst in us. I have to admit that I really want the SOB to suffer. Justice isn't enough. I want him to see his whole family rot in prison, particularly Ivanka, the one person besides himself he might actually care about.

Agree 100%.

I've heard the Watergate comparisons, which suggest that Pence will pardon him (perhaps even a pre-resignation deal) so that the "country can put this national nightmare behind us."

But this isn't a 2-bit burglary and coverup. This is worse than if he'd shot someone on 5th Avenue.

He does need to be held accountable, put in jail, and his assets seized. If he were human, perhaps he'd seek a deal where Junior can be pardoned, but he'd sell out anyone to save his own orange hide.

This is going to be awful and wonderful.

I mean...I get that we're at a point of toxic partisanship but if the guy is put on trial for literal treason how can anyone justify a pardon?

I thought it happened all at once, as evidence trickled out. They all made the decision that further support was political suicide, so it was a mass movement against him. When the Mueller report comes out, I anticipate the same.

Yeh, I think we'll reach a tipping point if the evidence is strong enough. It needs to be solid enough that there's a break in the support of that 30-35%. Until then, it will political suicide for his supporters in the GOP to turn on him.

Tapes and emails would be nice.

I was in high school during Woodergate and not political at all. Nixon was just the president, Viet Nam dominated the headlines even as it was winding down. But Nixon became a pariah very quickly when the TV hearings began.

Granted, there was no Devin Nunes or Dana Rohrbacher, GOP criminals cooperating with the enemy. There was no cable news, certainly no Fox News nor even conservative yak radio. The three major networks - already biased toward the Democrats - shaped public opinion against Nixon. I grew up in a small redneck South Jersey town where everyone casually used the N word, and there was not a Nixon defender to be found.

It will shift on Trump, too. Once the Koch brothers give the signal. It may be complicated in that the NRA is funding so many GOP members and the NRA has been riding on the Ruble, too.

At some point, these idiot Republicans will understand what I knew with certainty in November of 2016 - this can only end badly. They should have cut their losses on this POS early. They could have gotten all their judges and tax cuts etc with Pence. Now they have destroyed the GOP.

Who are the “they” who should have cut ties with Trump in 2016 and why do Republicans not want to accept responsibility for him?

Trump was elected and remains in office only because of the support of the party. Therefore, supporting the party supports Trump. Until the rank and file Republicans make it clear that they will not support the party until Trump is gone, they are complicit.

The Fake News gets crazier and more dishonest every single day. Amazing to watch as certain people covering me, and the tremendous success of this administration, have truly gone MAD! Their Fake reporting creates anger and disunity. Take two weeks off and come back rested. Chill!

So what's going to happen in the next two weeks? hmmm

Ambassador Antonov called in for consultation landed on the first tee at Trump National in Bedminister

The Donald insisting on meeting privately with Antonov ( kislyak left awhile ago) was whisked away on the Russian helicopter.

Seconds later Trump's resignation message was played on all broadcast outlets.

I Donald Trump asked my good friend Vladimir if I can hang out with him. He graciously accepted and so I am off.

Enjoy that Pence guy, I could never get him to do what I wanted, maybe that is a good thing.

And with that short message, the President of the United States defected to Russia.

Upon landing the Donald granted fox Russia an interview.

Hannity was already with the Donald.

Speaking with Hannity, the Donald explained, I am getting doted upon here by all the women ( translation I have all the best hookers). I am living like the King they would not let me be in the states.

I realize my kids will have to go to jail. If I cared about them I would not have made them my lieutenants.

Melania is now in charge of Trump enterprises until she is arraigned for that innaugural thing.

I am out of it. Russia is huuuuge. They scheduled me in a dacha in Crimea for the winter, and then in a palace in Moscow in the Spring. After that we will play it by ear.

90 year old Jim The Farmer was just on stage to call for a wall since the Vatican has a big one.
