More like, I am going to tell Mueller everything or you will do this.

We have a treasonous, Russian asset as POTUS.

NOW, Muller has access to all the internet traffic, secure or otherwise, and all international phone calls. So Mueller already knows.

All the more reason to FINISH THE INVESTIGATION.

Please.

Trump is the most cynical prick imaginable, getting in all his worst of the worst moves right before Christmas.

Amen. The problem is there’s a compromised madman at the wheel.

She did!

Kyle Griffin @kylegriffin1
NBC's Pete Williams reported on @MSNBC last hour that Ruth Bader Ginsburg participated — from her hospital room — in the Supreme Court vote that rejected Trump's plea to enforce his asylum ban for immigrants who illegally cross border. The vote was 5-4.

Nice to know that supreme Court Justice is a potential work from home gig. :)

Is it possible for a new conservative party to rise from the ashes of the GOP?

I feel as though within 20 years the GOP and Dem parties as we know it will be dead and a massively popular centrist party will be in power.

People are getting sick of the extreme partisanship. We need to get back to where we were pre-Gingrich. That asshole, more than anyone else, fucked this country over royally.

most people don't actually like centrism

also, many people say they are against partisanship but they really aren't when it comes down to voting

finally, no, a new conservative party will not emerge. this is it. this is all we got.

“Trump is God’s gift that keeps on giving,” said Vladimir Frolov, a Russian columnist and foreign affairs analyst. “Trump implements Russia’s negative agenda by default, undermining the U.S.–led world order, U.S. alliances, U.S. credibility as a partner and an ally. All of this on his own. Russia can just relax and watch and root for Trump, which Putin does at every TV appearance.”

One headline in a regional Russian newspaper trumpeted, “Trump Leaves the Dog Out in the Cold,” referring to Mr. Mattis’s nickname, Mad Dog, from his days in the Marines. Konstantin Kosachev, the leader of the international affairs committee in the upper house of Russia’s Parliament, wrote on Facebook that the differences in Washington were “an interesting signal, and moreover, rather a positive one.”

Economy is two keys.

Short and long term economy.

IOW, are you better off with the Donald. NO.

There go two keys.
Scandal three.
No foreign policy success four keys.
Russia a foreign policy disaster five keys
The home team loses seats at midterm SIX KEYS.

We have a 2020 Presidential winner. The winner will be the Democratic nominee. One out of 25.

Joe Biden
Bernie
Beto

Beto or Joe or Bernie.

Thems two guys are older than the Republic, the USA. sort of.

Futures are down close to 3% due to shutdown and reports that Trump wants to fire Powell.

He really is killing it this week!

Will we be retesting the 2009 lows (DOW 7000) by Election Day 2020?

Feels like a distinct possibility at the moment.

Hit the Fox News website, and you'd have no idea that the market cratered. You'd also have no idea that we're pulling out of Syria and Afghanistan, or that's why Mattis quit (or even that Mattis quit.)

Yep, thankfully most people will find out about the stock market crashing from friends or family. It will probably be a topic of conversation at holiday gatherings over the next few days.

The w/d of troops? Probably not so much, except within military families.

I just reallocated my investments to 50/50 last week. Might not be enough

Anyway....

The republicans are always striving for economic growth but what’s the point of the Fed will always raise interest rates to slow it down?

I do think the Dems need to campaign on retirement security. Republican economic adventurism turns out to be pretty bad for people's retirement. You've got economic anxiety? Blame the Republicans.

On the other hand, the underlying economy doesn't really seem as bad as market performance would have you believe. I understand why the markets may be nervous--a no deal Brexit looks increasingly possible, the economy is due for a recession, the Fed seems especially wary of inflation (it's as if a tightening job market and increasing wages is a bad thing!) and of course the looming threat of a trade war. I think this is more like 1987 than 2008. In fact, I'm going to talk with Lil' Vulture (who has a decent amount of cash thanks to buying apple and then selling it way too early (for a 17 year old) in her brokerage account and it might be time to dip a toe back in.
