Florida does a recount and Al Gore wins: Politics

A federal judge Thursday called former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server for government business "one of the gravest modern offenses to government transparency."

We can only imagine how the judge would characterize what the current administration has done and is doing.

How about: "The Democrats will do anything to hurt this president. I don't care, all I can say is he's doing a good job as president."

Julian Castro has formed an exploratory committee

The other contenders might as well fold up shop. Not sure how anyone will stop such a juggernaut.

Let's not have that. The Republicans were rather stupid to go along with the cable news ratings grab though I guess in the end they did get what they wanted out of it.

Not sure where you're getting that. I go by the 538 aggregate which has Trump at 41.9 approval and Obama at 44.5. He's within two points of Reagan (and will soon be ahead) and ahead of Clinton,so I'm sticking with my statement that his approval is close to all three. His approval rating has basically been steady for the last eight months with all that's happened. Who knows what the future will hold, but the narrative that many are turning away now that his character is revealed, or that he's historically unpopular, is simply not there.

the difference is he's never been popular. there's not one instance where Trump has been popular. he lucked into the presidency and hasn't been liked since. he cannot claim enough legitimacy to ever merit a majority of the US backing him as their leader. clinton in his first term is the only one closest, and it made him a very weak president who was fairly rightwing as a result.

this is fairly unprecedented and there appears to be no way out of it for him.

Well no, and no and no. But I will once again exit this magical land and return to the sordid world I live in.

SDNY and AMI came out that the primary purpose of the payments to McDougle were to suppress her story and effect the election. Not so good for Indiviual-1.

This means the Donald cannot go home without a pardon.

At this point the lesser of two evils is impeachment and conviction.

There will be no cutting his term short, and he will definitely run again in 2020 regardless. Two more years in insanity and posturing for the election. The new-new goal is to postpone any potential legal problems for 6 more years.
