Pence also a Russian agent?

We will see.

THE REAL SHOCKER

Donald leaked Intel to Russia.

Donald is out by March that is why Haley resigned now.

She can run for President against Pence.

This is ahistorical nonsense. The final VP choices came down to Christie, Gingrich, Flynn and Pence. People weren't tripping over themselves to be Trump's VP choice - it was viewed as a dead end. And Pence was by far the best choice to mollify wavering evangelicals plus keep party leaders happy.

Nope, Christie was going to be the choice and Manafort kept a plane on the runway and talked Trump into Pence. Pence was actually very unpopular in Indiana and there were other evangelical choices.

In fact, he's the perfect asset because they had to know Trump would go down in flames. Now Pence gets to be President for 1.5 years, avoid major controversies, and have a real chance at winning in 2020 when Trump has/had about 5% chance.

One of the first things dems should do is open an investigation of why Pence lied about knowing about Flynn. This will allow them to explore Russian/Turkish connections.

That has always been my biggest fear. Frankly, as much as I despise the "man", I'd rather Trump finish his term and we move on from there to a legit Dem candidate.

If you'd rather Trump be president than Pence, you should stop calling Trump Adolf.

I think Pence would be worse because he has a chance to do more damage over 6 years than Trump can over 2. The push back again Trump is pretty hard right now and it would relax significantly against Pence. It's not hard to understand.

Made up numbers. As long as the economy holds, Trump's chance of winning are, if I were making up numbers based on history, 90% or better.

yes, they are made up numbers. I think the country is pretty polarized against the guy and it would be hard (without help) with 58% (or whatever it is now) of the population hardened against him.

Reads like Flynn spilled everything. The whole thing is redacted.

@gelles BREAKING: Mueller is asking for no prison time citing Michael Flynn’s “substantial assistance.” Flynn has given "substantial" assistance to the special counsel

Literally saw someone say on Twitter “that’s because he has nothing”. Flynn pleaded guilty to felonies.

He being Mueller

Pence was clearly someone Manafort steered Trump toward. The ahistorical nonsense is saying it made no sense to pick him as a running mate. He was clearly the best choice of the final four - at the time maybe Flynn seemed like a good wild card but the few years since have shown that wouldn't have been the case. He wasn't Mr. Popular in Indiana, but he was in a competitive race for re-election and Trump's polling in Indiana improved after Pence was added to the ticket. And there weren't better evangelical candidates available.

Wait, am I reading that multiple BSG liberals wouldn't impeach Adolf Hitler because it would make it harder to win the following election? That's... interesting.

I never called him that. I'm just saying that it makes sense to not want Pence as Prez when Trump is now pinned down in terms of what he can get passed and is unlikely to be reelected. Pence would be new blood and people would have to try to move towards some reconciliation, thus giving ground and allowing him to maybe get some things passed. I think Pence as president could be more damaging than Trump on domestic issues, though Pence would be less likely to call martial law and try to make himself dictator.

1) what does turnover of colors mean?
2) are you being sarcastic?

Maybe the answer to #1 would make #2 obvious, but I ask both just in case

I'm pretty sure Mike Pence also suffers from a likability problem worse than almost anyone in the nation except whoever the Democrats choose to nominate. I don't see huge crowds at his rallies raising their hands to do anything beyond stifle a yawn.
