Think of it in these terms: If Trump appoints someone with principles, everything will be OK. What if he appoints a toady, you ask, and that toady fires Mueller? Then we can all rest assured that all those Republicans who said firing Mueller was a line Trump should not cross will make sure it doesn't happen.

How can anyone in the government be ok with allowing Trump to shut down an investigation into himself? How can the public be okay with this?
