I do not know why the Hunter corruption thing fascinates me, but it does. Maybe that’s just how flippant they are with flaunting what they’ve done. There’s literally stacks of paper showing their transgressions, and clearly there is information from inside his campaign warning he and his wife against the very act that they performed, as well as the reason that they were arraigned today.

The political witchhunt, scapegoating, claims that the Justice Department is full of liberal Democrats hunting good conservative, and all those other insanity has to come crashing into some reality wall promptly. I mean it’s so blatant and vile. In the end needing to ask the judge to lower the bail because it would be a burden to make bond as they live paycheck to paycheck. After spending like $30,000 on vacations to Italy, Las Vegas and Hawaii last year. It’s just ridiculous that they even think they can get away with this, much less have the audacity to proclaim their innocence.

By the way, just because something might be politically motivated doesn’t mean you’re innocent.

i think an assumption is that something that is 'politically motivated' would've gotten no attention nor action if not for the political angle. So acceding to the 'politically motivated' flag downplays the transgression.

At a root level it’s theft. Is it embezzlement, or just some type of misappropriation since it was a con job, not redirecting funds. The politics are because it was political funds, which makes it a public trust issue with other special rules.
