no idea if the poll is an outlier but Cruz is only leading his opponent by 41-39
youd think any other Texan republican would have a double digits lead

wow, well prepared statement about how the press puts the US at risk from Sarah. She did not adlib that answer.

She also has started to parrot the bosses language about things. Talked about Witch Hunt, and said the the Steele dossier is the discredited, dirty dossier. Some one asked about Q, but I did not catch an answer. I am sure there was more.

@realDonaldTrump

I don’t care what the political ramifications are, our immigration laws and border security have been a complete and total disaster for decades, and there is no way that the Democrats will allow it to be fixed without a Government Shutdown...

Was poking around random spots. There's a precinct that's near or in Lewisburg, PA that went 500 votes for Clinton and 499 for Trump. I only really even noticed it because there's just such huge sections of red. Holy crap, another one, I don't even know what this is considered but it's a bit east of there: 179 Clinton 178 Trump. Must be weird places to live. Oh, zooming in, it's Danville, PA

this is how you get Pennsylvania

some of this feels true but I'd have to really dive in

It's a mostly wrong article that he probably wrote to sell more copies of his mostly wrong book. It's full of simplistic determinism and he either ignores or is ignorant of some basic and crucially important things about American history and demographics. I'm sorry, but people didn't vote for Hillary Clinton because they live where the Puritans landed.

Even the beginning of the first sentence...

Contrary to conventional wisdom, the most significant and abiding divide in American politics isn’t between city and countryside

...is a weird strawman that I'm not sure anyone is actually arguing.

Later...

Nor should cities be assumed to be reliable bastions of Democratic support. The core counties of major metropolitan areas, including Phoenix, Jacksonville, Fla., and Virginia Beach — and lots of smaller ones, like Boise, Idaho; Colorado Springs; Mobile, Ala.; Knoxville, Tenn.; Tulsa, Okla.; and Wichita, Kan.

Gee, I wonder why he would construct this as the "core counties" rather than the cities themselves? Also, Virginia Beach does not belong to any county (independent city) and is structured much more like a suburb.

Finally...

I’ve long argued that United States politics resolves around the tension between advancing individual liberty and promoting the common good.

This is the type of cutesy truism that the Times loves and seems to resonate only if you can afford to think about American politics in the most abstract terms (like if you're upper middle class to rich in a wealthy metropolitan area). It uses evocative phrases to reduce everything down to a good faith debate between easy to grasp concepts and ignores the life-or-death quality of many of the issues our country faces.

Executive Time is going overtime today.

I'm actually most disgusted at his use of "solitary confinement." He most likely has his own cell; he wasn't thrown in a dark hole to spend 23 hours out of a day. Fuck this shitty president so much

Maybe they should give Manafort a cell mate.

A top consultant and spokesman for Corey Stewart, the Republican nominee for US Senate in Virginia, has used the term "house negro" to criticize the GOP establishment and disparaged prominent Civil Rights figures John Lewis and Rosa Parks.

In a joint petition, three Green Party candidates gathered more than 8,000 signatures for Glover, Jocolyn Bowser-Bostick of Chester, Delaware County to run for lieutenant governor and Neal Gale of Glenside, Montgomery County, for the U.S. Senate, challenging U.S. Democratic Sen. I'm always torn on whether or not giving light to stupid conspiracy theories like the QAnon shit, but then I remember how Superman helped bring down the KKK.
Quick Google shows that GoGo is wrong with regards to the Kiwi and the Banana.

Former Red Sox pitcher:

The general [Q] story, outlined in a pro-QAnon video endorsed by Schilling, is that every president before Trump was a “criminal president” in league with all the nefarious groups of conspiracy theories past: the global banking elite, death squads operating on orders from Hillary Clinton, deep-state intelligence operatives, and Pizzagate-style pedophile rings. In an effort to break this cabal’s grip, according to Q, the military convinced Trump to run for president.

So glad that he is refereed to as a Red Sox pitcher.

The Q thing is extra insane because it seems far larger then I ever thought it was. Much more the a few hundred deranged people. Apparently the Alt right is not a fan, but Q has a solid AARP following.
