At the end of the year. Shah doesn't have a date.

Things look good. I didn't worry too much, but it's good to see some breathing room, can't take anything for granted. Need the motivation to get some slacking newbies into the house legislature.

just to chime in, the Press is the real enemy thing in just insane. how butt hurt do you have to be that the capitals celebration has not paused to honor the signer of an agreement that has no teeth. I mean trump of course, because KJU has order all forms of honorarium in his name to celebrate getting DJT to deeply bow at the waist palms up giving the historic NK regime credibility, offering tangible concessions, and lavishing brutal reign with praise.

the Rs are all pointing to F&M's poll from before the 2016 election (and before the Comey letter) as proof this is meaningless

NY Rep Higgins calls Pelosi "aloof, frenetic, and misguided" and says she "lacks the gravitas" which is why he will no longer support her as leader.

Nancy Pelosi was a wonderful Speaker, and while one could argue that they want a younger, more progressive Speaker if we regain the House, the reasons Rep. Higgins put forth reek of sexism and a feeble attempt to be on the "right" side of the movement.

Arizona is just out with it, aren't they?:
Rep. David Stringer, R-Prescott, said today he wants people to hear his full speech rather than the 51-second snippet making the rounds on social media, so he plans to re-post the entire 17-minute video in which he also says immigration is “politically destabilizing” and “presents an existential threat”

He said while his comments were well received by people at the June 11 meeting of the Yavapai Republican Men’s Forum’s, the video recording of his speech was later taken down after he received heat from teachers who felt that his remarks were racist.

Tempe City Councilman David Schapira, a Democrat running for Superintendent of Public Instruction, posted the 51-second excerpt with Stringer’s remarks on immigration on Twitter.

“Sixty percent of public school children in the state of Arizona today are minorities. That complicates racial integration because there aren’t enough white kids to go around,” Stringer said on the video.

Stringer’s GOP seatmates Rep. Noel Campbell and Sen. Karen Fann also spoke at the event.

“If we don’t do something about immigration very, very soon, the demographics of our country will be irrevocably changed and we will be a very different country and we will not be the country you were born into,” Stringer said.

“I maybe touched a third rail of politics but what I said is accurate,” he said. “Anybody that talks about this in this way is shut down and called a racist. I’m speaking the truth. Diversity may be a great thing, there might be a lot of advantages, I’m not arguing against diversity at all, but no country can be demographically transformed without any political or social consequences.”

There's something bizarre when effective congressional leaders (Pelosi, Harry Reid, McConnell, Boehner) are demonized by their own party. Even Paul Ryan. The McConnell thing is even weirder--if you're a conservative, you'd think going to extraordinary lengths to deny Obama a SCOTUS appointment would make him a hero.

This to me isn't an ideological thing, it's a bizarre media trope that somehow politicians being politicians is a bad thing. It's like someone saying, "I went to the doctor and now I'm not sick anymore. He's the worst." Rather, ineffective doofuses like Rand Paul get the attention: "I had some homeopathic treatment, and it made me feel worse. My homeopath is the best!"

Liberal rag The Washington Examiner (opinion): Meet Corey Stewart, the clown the GOP nominated to challenge Sen. Tim Kaine

Lets hope the author is correct and that his candidacy is an existential risk to Reps. Dave Brat (lousy), Barbara Comstock (do nothing), and Scott Taylor (his alright).

Speaking of Scott Taylor, we could all use a laugh...

A Virginia Beach businessman (Aldo DiBelardino) seeking to run for Congress as an independent is challenging U.S. Rep. Scott Taylor to a combination wrestling match/debate.

Aldo DiBelardino said if Democratic candidate Elaine Luria wants to participate, he’ll wrestle her, too.
