The only actual upside is that it would spit on Trump's pride.
He probably isn't leading. Don't trust anonymously cited internal polls.

It wouldn't surprise me if those were both real and recent polls. Blankenship has been spending a lot on TV and is dominating media coverage. Of course not all of it has been, uh, flattering, but in low turnout/low name ID affairs being the guy people are talking about is often a good thing even if what they're saying isn't very nice. And what money was spent by the two elected candidates was spent attacking the other. Polling primaries is really tough, and made all the more difficult because a lot of West Virginia Republicans haven't been Republicans for very long so trying to go off vote history to see who to poll and model turnout would be a real crapshoot. So maybe they're not talking to actual likely primary voters, which I think would inflate Blankenship.

I haven't seen anything personally, but based on the polls leaked & the strategies of the candidates (Morrisey is attacking Blankenship, Jenkins is still mostly going after Morrisey) is Morrisey and Blankenship finish 1-2 in some order tonight. Though a blindfolded monkey throwing darts probably has as good of a chance of picking the order as I do.

Here’s a Theory About That $1.6 Million Payout From a GOP Official to a Playboy Model

I haven't been following the original story to know if all the dots he connects are presented accurately, but an interesting read nevertheless

So short sighted. The NYT reports sanctions will be reinstated as if deal never existed.. good luck getting the international cooperation needed to pull that off.

There is a lot to laugh out in there, but I really like the idea that of all the ways a sophisticated businessman with competent lawyers working on his behalf would engage a backwater schmuck like Michael Cohen. Elliott Broidy would not know anyone he could trust in his current representation that could create such a legal document, so he had to out source to Don affair story quasher is great.

His proof is the Israel documents... all of which was known at the time of the deal. Like they're not even trying.

Notice how the President also used the present tense like the soon corrected statement last week. There either is evidence that our own officials and inspectors (plus those of other nations) missed, or the administration is misleading the American people to further their misguided cause.

in the meantime, Democrats are holding a rally against the Farm Bill. the Bill has massive cuts to SNAP for no real reason.

Had one of the strangest experiences of my year so far during my lunch break.

I was sitting in my car outside a deli playing a game on my phone and listening to NPR. Some man, walking to his car which is next to mine, shouts something/tries to make a joke about white privilege. The general gist being it does not exist/is an excuse black people use. Mind you, I said nothing to this person. He is a white, 60 year old man wearing a hospital scrub top and jeans.

For the next 20-25 minutes he engaged me about his views on race. Many times he told me he used to be liberal (was there for Bill Clinton's campaign! Do I remember them?). But 30 years of experience working with black people have changed him, he claims.

Some highlights:

-Black men do not want to put their name on the birth certificate and black children born out of wedlock/without fathers is almost entirely a black problem.

-Black women have babies so they can get welfare etc.

-Social programs have led to black people being entitled, not wanting to work

-Black families were statistically more complete in the 1950s and segregation was basically good because it helped keep black families together.

Anyways, it was pretty insane. He is sick of people protesting outside of his hospital (he mentioned Penn, which white people built or something) and being label a racist. I am too young and too idealistic to seethe real truths about the black community (and puerto ricans).

Well, now our allies are pissed, and there is some thinking that Isreal/Iran might get into a scrap. Its not just the pull out of the "Iran Deal", but that is an added bonus. Great day/good job.

Don said something like France, Germany, and the UK are in complete agreement. I guess Marcon responding that FR, DE, and the UK want Don to keep their countries names out of his filthy mouth might suggest otherwise. Of course Pres. Clumsy With Words was really saying that no one really wants Iran to be a nuclear warrior, but wrapping it up with a bow while delivering a cleveland steamer to those three was something else.

I bet that the EU countries are all ready to jump through whatever sanction hoops dumb and dumber gin up because we say so. What leverage do we have?

This plus the Mission Accomplished tweet makes you think. Where's Dick Cheney hiding? Bolton's mustache?

Scud Pruitt might get slashed because he tried to deflect his problems by making more chaos by outing Zinke as an offender to take the heat off him. All the BS was fine, but if he makes more churn outside his lane, that is a deal breaker. Mulveny will be named interim director.

Also, the Rudy show is getting old with Don?!? Rudy would get to be a success by being a loud New Yorker who outlasts the Mooch.
