Yeah, I'm not sure what sort of priests people think lawyers are, but attorney-client privilege is limited to legal advice, and is void if the communication was for the purposes of committing a crime. So "i've been laundering money, what should I do?" makes it, but "I've got $500,000 I need to hide from that snoopy SEC, what's the best way to go about it?" doesn't.

That's the type of logic I would expect from a republican. Morals don't matter to these people. Can we investigate what happened in the runup to the election, plz?

Huh?

He said he thinks impeachment is too easy an out an Americans need to fix it by voting.

I'm not sure I understand. That sure sounds like he's saying there should be no impeachment, even though he recognizes that Trump is garbage. He did say, unless the source I read misquoted him, that Trump was not morally fit.

It's easy for him to say we should fix it by voting when he messed with that voting process. He deliberately helped misinform the public and now is saying that Americans should vote him out. Well, we wouldn't have to vote him out if not for Comey's actions. How can people vote in an informed way with people like Comey misinforming them?

you can't impeach someone because they are a bad person-- they have to commit treason, bribery or some other high crime.

yes, of course. I was going under the assumption that Comey is smart enough to know that Trump is corrupt. Maybe that's the divide here. Maybe he's acting like he doesn't know if the corruption part is true and, therefore, he can't say he should be impeached, though then I would think he would hedge his bets and say something like, " if it's proven he committed a crime, then he should be impeached."

if you want to trust comey, go ahead. I'm not sure what that trust is based on though. seems like we have lots of reasons NOT to trust him.

I am sure there is still information he can't talk about.

If he were to have answered, "Man, if you knew what I knew he would have been impeached yesterday!!" Just not sure what you wanted him to say there.

Ok, that's true, but it would be nice if our former FBI director wasn't out making money off one of our nation's darker times, especially since he helped create the problem. He should be under investigation for his actions during the election. He blew off FBI policy

You don't find him credible? 'Gave the guy $10... definitely want that attorney-client privileged' sounded about how people manage their affairs as aptly noted above in Breaking Bad's fictional New Mexico. When I said yesterday that I feel like Dershowitz is treated too gently as an "independent" thinker, I could not have foretold that he would be making a stop over to Hannity.

Gorsuch sided with the libs on a constitutional question regarding automatic deportation for certain felonies on the grounds of vagueness in the statute.

Rob Portman is fine ignoring the committee recommendation on Pompeo, and letting the will of the people play out on the floor.

FWIW, he thinks that Comey's book about Don's hair, hands, and orange glow is undignified. Seems to sum up that he thinks that this is the whole of the content of the book.

Undignified? Has Rob Portman read any of the tweets from der Furher over the past week? the past year+?

FWIW, my summary word for Portman's few minutes is undignified. But i wondered why the TOOTPOTUS (sorry, wanted to ... TOOT would be The Office of the..) should be treated with indifference when POTUS permanent record, his tweets, are festoon with attacks of all nature on the masses. Undignified is not an encompassing word large enough to describe his regular actions.

Stormy Daniels released a sketch of the man she says threatened her in a Vegas parking lot back in 2011 to keep quiet about Trump, and her lawyer is offering a $100K reward for this "thug". Social media is running wild with Tom Brady
