People close to the White House say they expect more major personnel shifts this week. An effort to rip off the bandaid fast on a number of fronts is likely.

What few seem to realize is it's not that people are no longer serving in the administration for whatever reason, it's that there's actual work involved in running the White House and the country, and it's simply not getting done. There's also the apparent problem that competent people, even those sympathetic to the goals of the Republican party don't want to work for Trump.

The narrative of Trump unglued is not totally wrong but misses the reason why - he was terrified of the job the first six months, and now feels like he has a command of it.
So now he is basically saying “I’ve got this, I can make the changes I want.”
This is not to say his perception of self/confidence is in line with others’ perceptions of him. But it is part of why he is less able to be swayed.

if your main concern was tax cuts, you got those. why bother working with him when you know the ship is going down?

Starting to think Haberman is just a terrible journalist
She has her issues (as do all whose stories mainly come from access) but what she's putting down here isn't surprising.CFP wrote:The Crimson Cyclone wrote:Somewhat related Maggie also tweetsThe narrative of Trump unglued is not totally wrong but misses the reason why - he was terrified of the job the first six months, and now feels like he has a command of it.
