Thank you for contacting us, Stephen! All three of our brands have ended the discount for NRA members. This change will be effective March 26. Thank you again for reaching out. Kind regards, Michael

There was an article in the Nation claiming that the best way to take down the NRA is by disrupting their ability to make money. Apparently, they're already in debt as well as some gun companies.

It looks like the American public might take this path.

Ghouta seems worse than Aleppo. Russian planes have been spotted. This world is a bad, bad place.

Afrin is a shitshow as well

Turkey is using forces against YPG and trying to paint YPG as terrorists. YPG are our allies.

I know this a hell of a thing to say with people dying but I believe it has to be done slowly. Like the frog in the pot. Don't let them get too upset over what's being done. Crazy people with guns can do awful things when their cornered. Start out with raising the age for buying weapons. Then get rid of high capacity mags and go on from there. I don't think it's possible to get it all done at once. Were talking about a way of like for these people that's been ingrained in them for 200/300 years. jmho.

My whole point with the Loesch thing was to point out the drama that they are generating from her attending this event. Certainly people are angry, and their emotions are raw, and they were a little rough on her that you had to expect that. I doubt that people threatened her in the manner that being alluded to. That is not stopping cashing in on the tragic events by the NRA.

How do you think an assault weapons ban would work in practice. We had one for like a decade if I recall and then it lapsed or was repealed (I honestly don't remember). Somehow the country survived and the military didn't overrun the citizenry. I guess I am asking what would be the illegal act if you passed one - manufacture? sale? or possession? Regrettably, there are millions of them in circulation already. I don't think there is much appetite to go door to door and get them. It would be progress but it would be slow progress I guess.

It lapsed and the original ban made it illegal to manufacture and sell IIRC. It was not illegal to possess, and the only way to truly try and get them back would be large scale buy-back programs.

Clinton enacted an assault weapon ban. Bush Jr didn't renew it and it lapsed.

I think that if nobody is allowed to buy one then it makes no sense to manufacture them.
