A Democratic lawmaker says that he will introduce legislation that would require presidential candidates to undergo a mental health examination following a tweet from President Trump in which he praised himself as a "stable genius."

Rep. Brendan Boyle's office said in a press release that the Pennsylvania Democrat would introduce the "Stable Genius Act" in the House on Tuesday.

What's amazing about Trump is that many of his comments could mean almost ANYTHING. I just read that three times and have no idea what he was trying to say. So Sarah can spin that any way she wants later today.

just breezed through some excerpts from senate testimony of the guy who put together the dossier. this could make "fire and fury" seem like dr. seuss in comparison.

Didn't Buzzfeed release it when it was initially discovered (other outlets refused because they couldn't find independent sourcing, IIRC).

Turtle says DACA agreement will not be in spending bill. It's not really his decision, hopefully more Democratic Senators will force this issue this time. They cannot keep kicking this down the line.

it looks likely the 'voluntary source' to be Papadopolous and that Simpson meant Coffee George spouting off was the info voluntarily given (and not that the person marched into the FBI in a dramatic pose at the end of a movie)

the big thing exposing this is it ends all the furious speculation on the right about Fusion GPS, FBI, etc. they'll all just have to admit it now

I mean, of course it doesn't, but to anyone who was open-minded and wasn't already convinced it simply reiterates the genuineness of the investigation.

I think all they can do is censure her, which is just like a piece of paper saying she did something against the rules. There will be zero political price to pay with California voters for being reprimanded for this.

Hell, Julian Assange and Edward Snowden were deemed heroes for pulling back the curtain. I guess the downside is that it may make it more difficult to get voluntary participation in such interviews but sometimes you need to fight fire with fire, as DiM said.
