The arguments from the nursing home association are at best misleading--they say it takes doctors away from patients--doctors (and for that matter nurses) have very little to do with nursing homes. You're being cared for by a bunch of CNAs working for very low wages.

Nursing homes are also big drivers of so-called tort reform. You know you're in a bad industry when you make the trial lawyers association into the good guys.

We're going to get the point where the caring thing to do for your elderly parents will be to euthanize them if the only other option is a nursing home.

I’m glad we have an administration that focuses on penalizing people who commit crimes [not like white collar crimes or international espionage, but like drug charges and stuff] and rehabilitating businesses that commit crimes.
