They're probably ultimately more alarmed that their generic R candidate for the runoff who was backed by establishment and got a plug from sitting president lost to bannon/roy fucking more

Both takes are probably true for a lot of people.

They argued that an expert who portrayed the current map as a freakish outlier Monday when compared to 1,000 computer-generated maps he drew based on traditional redistricting principles was largely undertaking an academic exercise.
University of Michigan professor Jowei Chen drew his maps from scratch, they noted, as if Pennsylvania's political history did not exist, or Pennsylvanians had no attachment to their Congressmen.
Chen, under cross-examination Tuesday, conceded his computer algorithms did their map-building work on a clean-slate Pennsylvania.
The legislature's map-makers, by contrast, were working from a playing field that already had 19 established districts, which they had to reduce to 18.
"Is it realistic to believe that the Pennsylvania Legislature would have ever paired Representative Brady with another incumbent?" Lewis asked at one point. Brady is the titular head of the Democratic Party in the state's largest city.
But legislative leaders, Lewis contended later, did have other legitimate reasons including seniority of members or looking to southwestern Pennsylvania as a slower-growth part of the state.
In fact, the Republican-controlled General Assembly of 2011 forced Rep. Jason Altmire, of suburban Pittsburgh, and Rep. Mark Critz, of Johnstown, into what amounted to an elimination Democratic primary in 2012.
Kennedy spent considerable time on the 7th District in the Philadelphia suburbs, which has been held up by national observers as one of the worst examples of gerrymandering in the nation.
He pointed to connections between the eastern and western lobes of the district that, at various points, dwindle to nothing more than the width of a hospital campus or a steakhouse.
At another point, Kennedy noted, there's a finger from Brady's Philadelphia-based 1st District that juts into Delaware County to grab the heavily-Democratic city of Chester, and the town of Swarthmore.
This was, Kennedy noted, specifically done to "pack" Democrats into Brady's district, and make the 7th a little safer for Republicans.
He also objected to breaking of traditional communities of interest.

Here's one you might have missed in the hustle and the bustle: A top political strategist to embattled U.S. Rep. Bob Brady, of Philadelphia, has pleaded guilty for helping to cover up the $90,000 that Brady's re-election campaign paid a 2012 primary challenger to drop their campaign.
As The Inquirer reports, the aide, Donald "D.A." Jones pleaded guilty to charges of lying to federal agents. Jones has also agreed to cooperate with the ongoing investigation into Brady, the chairman of the city's Democratic Committee and long-time power-broker in Philly politics.
"His admission of guilt is the first to come from within Brady's camp in a case that already has wrung guilty pleas from the congressman's 2012 opponent - former Municipal Court Judge Jimmie Moore - and the judge's former campaign manager.
'I accept full responsibility for my actions and consider my guilty plea a first step in making amends,' Jones said in a statement issued by his attorney Alan J. Tauber after the hearing. 'I apologize to the people of Philadelphia and to my family for bringing this dishonor upon them.'

Sen. Scott Wagner, R-York County, who also opposed the legislation, unsuccessfully tried to amend the bill to include some changes to the unemployment compensation law relating to eligibility for benefits and changes to the way disputes are settled, along with specifically stating no additional state funding for the UC system after 2021.
Committee Chairwoman Kim Ward, R-Westmoreland County, said those reforms are valid and should be considered but both she and the bill's sponsor, House Labor & Industry Committee Chairman Rob Kauffman, R-Franklin County, prefer to address them separate from the funding bill that was a product of compromise she reached with the House members.

The House on Tuesday voted 121-70 - with six Republicans among those voting no and 12 Democrats among those voting yes - to send the Senate-passed bill to Wolf's desk. Wolf has indicated he will veto the bill that:
•Moves up the ban on elective abortions from 24 weeks to 20 weeks of a pregnancy with no exceptions to that timeframe for rape and incest victims or those who learn a fetus has abnormalities.
•Curtails the use of a common second trimester abortion procedure known as dilation and evacuation.
