Pocahontas, pedos, polls, prosecutors, and pun-free politics

I do see on my feed several pretty hard core conservatives who are not happy about many provisions of this bill.

So basically he admitted today that he knew Flynn lied to the FBI yet he still asked Comey to let the investigation go. Umm, isn't that obstruction of justice.

I’d like to think so, but I’d guess he believes he can lie and bluff his way through anything.

Only a man who's shitting his pants today would tweet "there's nothing to hide". It's Nixon's "I'm not a crook" all over again.

I think most middle class republicans see it as “us vs
them, with the “us” being their income level and everything above. In reality they are actually much closer to the “them” in that the true upper class would make them use the servant’s door with all the other riff raff

Most people don't respond to taunting with gentlemanly responses. Maybe it's because I know jh outside of the internet and I notice when it happens, but the ridicule and attacks are uncalled for. He lets 90% of it go without a response, but that doesn't make the initial comments unnoticed or appropriate. To add to Pacino's comment, this isnt Twitter or 4chan. This is a community of Phillies fans, fans who sometimes meet up to cheer on their mutual interests.

Let's also not talk ourselves into pretending that the Republicans that post in this thread anymore are Trump supporters; most of the taunts about conservative folks on this board aren't even accurate. Those Trump leaning folks got run out of this thread long ago.

Republicans like JH didn't get a tax cut. They're just happy that those with less than them are getting hurt even worse. Imagine if those same people lost access to healthcare?

See a theme here with the GOP and its followers? They're no racist but boy they certain target certain income clssses that miraculously include a higher percentage of POC. crazy coinicidence and coincidence only.

I'm fine with jh, knowing that he didn't vote for Trump. With that said, he's the Paul Ryan of this thread. He slips up at times and indirectly defends Trump.

It is what it is.

Most of the ranting and raving is just ignored. People vent. I get that. But I'm guessing you wouldn't appreciate it people were posting things about your personal circumstances, accurate or not. "Oh dim, I can't believe you'd support X, given what you're shared with us about your life. You're living a lie if you do." Whether you actually support X is irrelevant. Whether it's actually consistent with your personal circumstances is irrelevant. It's just an assholish way to interact in this community, where many of us have posted personal details about themselves, offices their family members have run for, family, mental health, job situations, divorce, etc. Stuff like that gets directed at jh multiple times per week. Mostly it's just shitty political posturing taunts, but it creates a toxic environment where some people feel safe enough here to post death threats in his direction. That should give everyone pause.

I don't think it's appropriate to post death threats so I hope that doesn't happen again. I didn't see the post so I can't comment on it further. But in general, I wish we can avoid stuff like that.

Except that he would support most of Trump's core policies, which are brutal to average americans. But yeh, threatening to kill someone is out of bounds by a long way. The most I would want to do is put itching powder in his tighty whiteys.

how do you know who he voted for? I think he lives in DC so it wouldn't matter, but I wouldn't necessarily believe someone who said they didn't vote for Trump.

Ryan and Mitch are far more evil than Trump, imo. Trump is a buffoon.
