But the hard lined true middle class republicans are #$!&@. Hope those republicans like jersey can call their rich friends hoping for handouts (oh the irony).
I'm looking forward to my tax cut, but thank you for your concern

Most of the ranting and raving is just ignored. People vent. I get that. But I'm guessing you wouldn't appreciate it people were posting things about your personal circumstances, accurate or not. "Oh dim, I can't believe you'd support X, given what you're shared with us about your life. You're living a lie if you do." Whether you actually support X is irrelevant. Whether it's actually consistent with your personal circumstances is irrelevant. It's just an assholish way to interact in this community, where many of us have posted personal details about themselves, offices their family members have run for, family, mental health, job situations, divorce, etc. Stuff like that gets directed at jh multiple times per week. Mostly it's just shitty political posturing taunts, but it creates a toxic environment where some people feel safe enough here to post death threats in his direction. That should give everyone pause.

Maybe it's because I know jh outside of the internet and I notice when it happens, but the ridicule and attacks are uncalled for. He lets 90% of it go without a response, but that doesn't make the initial comments unnoticed or appropriate. To add to Pacino's comment, this isnt Twitter or 4chan. This is a community of Phillies fans, fans who sometimes meet up to cheer on their mutual interests.
Let's also not talk ourselves into pretending that the Republicans that post in this thread anymore are Trump supporters; most of the taunts about conservative folks on this board aren't even accurate. Those Trump leaning folks got run out of this thread long ago.
