Are you/they sure this isn't just about one set of the charges? He could be pleading out to one charge while the turkish stuff is still in the balance. IOW, he plea deal may not protect him from charges related to another crime, right?

Does everyone trust Mueller? Comey was supposed to be a straight shooter and then he got Trump elected. About the worst thing that could happen is Mueller to pick off everyone around Trump and leave him standing. He would be able to shout Fake News for the rest of his time as Prez and it would practically make him immune to further investigation. He could do whatever he wanted (not that he's not already doing that), but he would be further emboldened and I'd be concerned we 'd go full Turkey.

Another time line:

Flynn gets cooked by Meuller
Flynn Jr hatches an offfspring
Meuller calls Flynn Sr to talk about Flynn Jr's prospected for prison
Flynn Sr negotiates a plea to excude Jr in exchange for stuff including who was steering the ship in the campaign to engage Russia
Bunch of yahoos act like its the 1500 screaming at Flynn Sr as he arrives/leaves his plea hearing

Worst case scenario, Flynn fingers Clovis, Trump lays down a pardon on Flynn. He tested it on Sheriff Joe (who has been reassigned to the birth certificate project), then practiced recently on the turkey.

It goes to conference between the house and Senate and they hash out the differences... you can call your rep and senators about it
