WaPo front page today leads with a story about how a former green beret, former AZ state senator talking a bit about how college education is a problem. Elite factories that mill out people trained and ready to make liberal trouble, and be activists. (That debt you accrued at university get paid off how under this thinking?) Anyway, he apparently represents a real thing in conservative circles. It reminds me of small mindedness of where I spent most of my formative education years, and what led me to exiting south. But it is distressing to think that education in a knowledge economy is considered evil, and by extension some how bad for America.

The article goes on to talk about problems in higher education focused more on things like dwindling state budgets, geometric cost increases, student debt, etc. It is a little binary in its focus shift. It could sort of support the espoused 'junk degree' theory that the AZ subject forwards, but not the machine of libtard minions. You get off page one and wonder if the story was finished by someone else

Trumps CNN tweet of the day saying it poorly reps the US internationally, unlike Fox that is largely ignored overseas except for laughs, might dent the Justice department angle on the ATT+TW tie up as it makes a case for serving the President's agenda. The brutal irony of that tweet entering the atmosphere while Vald Pootang creates a law that foreign news services must registers as agents of foreign governments just doubles down on the pathetic nature of the POTUS and his access to a twitter account.

But something deeper has been consuming Mr. Trump. He sees the calls for Mr. Moore to step aside as a version of the response to the now-famous “Access Hollywood” tape, in which he boasted about grabbing women’s genitalia, and the flood of groping accusations against him that followed soon after. He suggested to a senator earlier this year that it was not authentic, and repeated that claim to an adviser more recently. (In the hours after it was revealed in October 2016, Mr. Trump acknowledged that the voice was his, and he apologized.)

Why be surprised?

He's senile. So was Reagan. Bush was a dimwit controlled by Cheney. There's a theme here.

The people around him are also lying to him. It's common knowledge that he's frequently given watered down info to keep him under control. The leader of the free world can't be trusted with the truth because his temperament is too bad. Let that sink in.

He will be relieved to find out when there is a question of who the legal acting head of the board is, the deciding factor isn't BSG voting on who the better person is.

Kinda sort of related, Time Mag's published sold to a group that is taking funds from the Koch Brothers. Now buckle you belt, NPR receive Koch funds too.

Koch's are no fan of the Don, so no more Man of the Year for him (get ready for that tweet).

As Va. sets to certify election results, expert says ‘something really went wrong’

at least 147 people in Stafford County and Fredericksburg voted in the wrong race Nov. 7, a Department of Elections investigation has confirmed so far. During a court hearing earlier last week, the state disclosed that a total of at least 384 registered voters were assigned to the wrong House district. The new details of the investigation showed that the issues confirmed during this limited investigation include voters tied to the 28th, 88th and now the 2nd House District.

...

Republican Bob Thomas leads the 28th District race in Stafford and Fredericksburg by just 82 votes. Lawyers for the Board of Elections said during a court hearing last week that the board has no choice under state law but to certify Monday despite “clear information … that there were irregularities.”
