Three-Fifths Compromise, Missouri Compromise, the Compromise of 1850, the Kansas-Nebraska Act, etc.

really, they really tried...Lincoln even offered to ship black persons off the continent!

this is the most absurd part of Kelly's ideas, if you don't count that he's praising a traitor to the country he's helping run.

Just re-adding because it was bottom paged.

Phan as an aside, you need to put " " around the person who is speaking for it to be formatted right.

What does he want to check the DEMS for?

just being a DEM means you hate your country and are a Marxist. that's enough to INVESTIGATE

also, the confederates were good

Changed my mind about Kelly. Hope he did something against the law and ends up in jail with the rest. I was hoping he was an adult in the room who happened to show questionable judgement a few times. Nope, he's garbage like the rest of Trump's circle.

Ingraham moved on to his comments about Rep Frederica Wilson after she claimed to have heard President Donald Trump telling La David Johnson’s widow her husband knew what he was signing up for, but that it hurt anyway. At a White House press briefing, Kelly slammed Wilson for listening in on that private moment, and recalled his previous encounter with the Florida congresswoman. Kelly called her an “empty barrel,” claiming that, at the dedication of an FBI building named after two slain agents, Wilson took the podium to boast that she’d raised the funds for the building.

Ingraham noted clips of that dedication show did not brag about getting funding, though, she hastened to add, Wilson “certainly used the word ‘I’ a lot.” Video showed Wilson actually boasted about getting quick action on naming the building after the two slain FBI agents.

Kelly wasn’t backing down, explaining Wilson did more talking before and after the formal ceremony. “It was a package deal,” he said, adding, “I don’t want to get into it.”

“Do you feel like you have something to apologize for?” Ingraham wondered.

“No. Never,” Kelly shot back. “I’ll apologize if I need to. But for something like that, absolutely not. I stand by my comments.”

Something like that equaling Being Completely Wrong.

Whoever Tom Donahue is is slob gobbling for Don. Thinks the Dems will vote for this good budget that is good for business, and they have been waiting decades for this.

Don promising to to rip away another 50% more regulations.

Next up Dirk from retailers. Invoking the triumph of Regan. 1986 tax code triumph!! This is the next opportunity to return to heyday of 1986! [Phan editorial: Let me tell you that those great late 1980/early 1990's economies were a real bitch to find a job during.*]

*Brookings institute 2014: "An admittedly less than fully scientific source of evidence is simply asking economists what they think. In a survey of 134 public finance and labor economists, the estimated
median effect of the Tax Reform Act of 1986 on the longterm size of the economy was one percent (Fuchs et al. 1998). Note that TRA 86 did not reduce public saving, so the growth effect was entirely due to changes in marginal tax rates and the tax base."

The new opposition ad titled “American Nightmare” was released Monday by Democratic group Latino Victory Fund (LVF) and is scheduled to run through Election Day. The opposition ad shows minority children seemingly being chased by a driver in a pickup truck, decked out with a Confederate flag, a “Gillespie for governor” bumper sticker and a “Don’t tread on me” license plate.

The driver makes his way toward the scared children who shout, “Run! Run! Run!” when they see the truck. The ad concludes with a scene of a Charlottesville-like rally, with a narrator asking: “Is this what Donald Trump and Ed Gillespie mean by the ‘American Dream?’”

Nasty time in Virginia. Gillespie is pissed. I guess Northam is not too concerned as the latest add had a funny problem with its volume where the message is that a woman narrating that a Northam wants a pedophile to have access to guns (hey, Northam is the Dem), but the volume sort of fades between the words Ralph Northam and Convicted Pedophile making sound like Northam might be a convicted pedophile if you are not looking.

I love how Trump and others are saying that Papadopoulos was a low level volunteer that nobody knew. Wasn't that by design though? Based on the emails, the fact that nobody knew he existed seemed intentional.
